This unit features a private oceanfront balcony adjacent to the master bedroom and living area, a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Two Smart TVs (65-inch, 55-inch, cable), and Wi-Fi are also available. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one-queen-sized bed, plus one double-over-double bunk with trundle. Amenities include an enclosed swimming pool (heated in the winter), hot tub, outdoor swimming pool and elevators. Limit two parking passes per unit. One car-sized trailer is permitted if parked across the street from the complex and will be counted as one of the two parking passes. No golf carts allowed. Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner. Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district. Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. The ONLY issue we had: the representative in the little office downstairs, female blonde with tatts (i have tattoos so just being descriptive), rude on 2 occasions when asking for information. Specifically about a notice for spraying for bugs, as we have a 6 month old learning to crawl. And she was an infertility baby. So a little more cautious than some about exposure. Same lady also rude when asked abour the fireworks ordinance (none as posted on the signs). But they were going off constantly Saturday night. So my daughter asked and was told “what do you want me to do about it, call the sheriff”. Call the sheriff would have been sufficient. Her overall demeanor was not to be disturbed. The elevators were being replaced so that wasn't ideal but it wasn't bad overall. One thing that I would be careful of...Atalaya Towers has 2 parking lots, one on the beach side and one across the road. During our 6 day stay, 8 different vehicles had their windows broken out and things stolen from inside, one vehicle was broken into 3 times over the course of their stay. So if I could recommend anything it would be not to park in the parking lot across the road. Beach In front of property is very narrow, especially at high tide. Pools are nice. Very quiet area. Convenient to restaurants and Murrell’s Inlet. Garden City Realty was great to deal with. Very helpful. Received a text when our room was ready. Good communication from them. I will add that we had to reschedule our trip by two weeks because of Hurricane Michael so we did not get to use the downstairs patio.
