Welcome to Cozy Bear Cabin, expertly managed by Great Mountain Cabin Rentals. Sit back and watch your cares float away on the hammock in the large screened in porch; rock till your hearts content in the rocking chairs or sit by the brand new fire pit on the spacious deck. This cabin is within a few minutes to town. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin sleeps 4 comfortably with a queen size bed and private bathroom connected to each bedroom. Brand new large screen smart tv's (living room and bedrooms)will allow you to stream your favorite movies or watch the game. A well equipped kitchen to make your meals so you can just stay in and relax in front of the gas fireplace. Can't beat this place for the location and price.

This is a pet friendly cabin and there is a $50 pet fee that will be added to your stay if you bring a pet. Please let us know your intention on bringing a pet in advanced.

You will be required to sign a contract and provide a copy of your drivers license.

*Any stays over 28 days will incur additional cleaning fees.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! The hot tub was absolutely perfect for us. The view of the mountains was stunning. The first night there we couldn't get the gas fireplace inside lit so we contacted the property manager who sent someone out that night to help. After that we had no problems with it. It was nice to bring our fur babies, too. The location was perfect! We would highly recommend!

From the fantastic new hot tub to the great views, this is the perfect cabin for a romantic getaway for 2. Rooms are spacious, kitchen is ready for cooking. Whole place was very clean & easy to get to whilst also secluded. Would come back again.

We throughly enjoyed in our cabin. What spectacular views we had from the screened in back porch. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. We had s’mores next to the fire pit. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the Art and Cherokee Museum in Downtown Murphy. The gravel road was a little rough on the car but other than that great stay! Definitely would rent again!

Every year my husband, mother, and stepfather as well as our 2 pugs go away to the mountains for Thanksgiving. This is a week of rest and relaxation before we have a busy holiday season. We all look forward to this and this was perfect. We enjoyed the screened in porch, fire pit, watching deer, and breathing fresh crisp mountain air. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook our Thanksgiving meal. If you are looking for a place to relax and rest, this is perfect!

The cabin was spacious & clean but it’s definitely an older home that needs some upgrades. The screened in porch was really nice but the views were almost completely obscured by the trees. You will see the sun rise not the sunset. The rocking chairs need to be replaced as they are cracked & squeaked like crazy when you rock in them..the hammock has you lying on the floor if you get into it. We enjoyed the gas fire pit & the hot tub however, we noticed there was no chlorine sanitizer floating in the tub but I just noticed the pic online shows one in the tub. The house was somewhat private…the side with the hot tub & fire pit is mostly private with trees & no house right next door but the other side has a house right next door but is still mostly private. The neighborhood was quiet but you will hear non stop traffic noise from the main road below. The road up to the house is very steep and narrow. The house itself was very clean with ample towels. It also had a few kcups, a small bottle of shampoo, conditioner, bath soap and lotion, a small bar of hand soap, laundry pods, toilet paper, paper towels, iron and ironing board. The one thing they didn’t have, which surprised me, was a blow dryer. I was left with wet hair because I never travel with a blow dryer. I messaged the owner who only said “thanks for letting me know I’ll add it to my list “ but, after I said I had never stayed in a property that didn’t have a blow dryer, she had one delivered by Walmart to the cabin.

Very nicely appointed and equipped; immaculate also. We needed to communicate with property managers with a couple question; response was prompt and friendly. The bed was comfy, the hot tub perfect, topped off with a fireside chat by the fire pit. The only thing we (senior citizens) were missing was better reading lights. Murphy Weekend
The interior of the house was super clean and well maintained. The location is close to downtown, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and casino. Our dogs enjoyed walking around on the screened in porch. If you do not have pets and wish to enjoy the peace and quiet and be surrounded by trees this may be the perfect place for you. For our needs unfortunately it wasn’t a good fit. There is very little grassy area for dogs There aren’t any usable steps or pathway to get down to the backyard that looked grassy. We have 2 small indoor dogs so they aren’t accustomed to the woods. The queen mattress was quite firm. We streamed our dish app on living room tv so I can’t speak on channels provided but couldn’t get it to work on bedroom tv so we didn’t use that tv. The refrigerator was very clean (didn’t use freezer) Nice to have a Kuerig available The road in and out is a winding narrow gravel road and thank goodness we didn’t bring our EV we drove our Hummer. I would recommend to others at least having all-wheel drive.

Perfect Anniversary Get Away!
This property was perfect for what my husband and I were looking for. Clean, homey, and convenient to town as well as welcoming our dogs to make it that much better. We got to visit the local restaurants, shops, and the casino all while being a few miles from the cabin.

The perfect getaway. It was a little too chilly to take advantage of the hot tub, but we could hear it running and were tempted! It was nice to return to the warmth and comfort of the Cozy Bear Cabin after spending the day hiking with our dog in the woods or window shopping and dining in downtown Murphy. This property could use some updates as it’s older but well maintained. Very clean and they do provide the essentials for cooking which is a must for our breakfasts. The gas fireplace was a welcome sight with the cold front that had come through. The hot tub worked very well and the view is beautiful. The agent was in contact with us during our stay in case we needed anything. The area is very pretty and deer were everywhere. If you’re looking for a quiet place to just chill this is def the place to come to. We would def come back to this quaint lil cabin.

Great cabin, located only 2 miles from Murphy, NC
Cozy cabin convenient to stores and restaurants. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to cook while staying there. Hot Tub was wonderful on a cool evening. Enjoyed the screened in porch while drinking my morning coffee. Bluetooth speakers were a nice touch we used while relaxing in hot tub and sitting on the porch. We are already planning to head back this time again next year. * Only suggestions need more hangers for hanging up clothing and no propane tank for fire pit. It would have been nice to use it for ambiance while in hot tub.
