There is a river accessible right behind the guesthouse, and a hijing trail not far. Unfortunately the breakfast and kitchen area was very humid and moldy. Barely adequate. The bar/kitchen area looked completely abandoned as though some disaster had hit the place and everyone had run away. The basement area, where we eventually found out we had to make breakfast with mouldy bread was disgusting. There was a large dead cockroach in the sink and the walls were crumbling. We’re not fussy people but this was really bad and we left after one night. The only communication we had was through Instagram with the manager. Not a common thing for people in their 60’s. The photos are from many years ago and the promises in the text are just not available. However, if it was fully occupied with 4 persons then I think the room is too small. Breakfast was barren - coffee, toast, corn flakes and raw eggs. You can make a pan fried egg (limited to 1) by yourself but the pan is not clean (still have oil in it). Staff was friendly and the room was very clean. No sheets or pillowcase were provided but towel is in the room. Bed was firm but comfortable. There are many restaurants close by within walking distance. There are a few small eateries near the guest house although all shops sell the same food. Convenient stall is just beside the guest house. There are shuttle buses from the guesthouse to the ski resort, Muju bus terminal and Daejeon bus terminal. Small rooms were somewhat minimalist, but appropriate. Small breakfast was provided; make your own eggs and clean up after yourself.
