We loved the cabin and the outdoors. We really enjoyed the loft and back deck. We also enjoyed that the cabin had good wifi and a smart tv as well (the last cabin we stayed at only had a dvd player and 5 dvds). I came for work and the venue I worked at was only 7 minutes away which was lovely.
Nice property at a nice location. Could use some upgrades/maintenance but didnt affect our stay. So glad we could bring our dog and alot of places are dog friendly too! We spent alot of time at the cabin and it had everything we needed.
We had a blast, close to some nice hiking, shops, and restaurants, however, a lot of stuff isn’t open through the week, so that was sad. Hiking was fantastic.
The cabin was beautiful and in a great location. The balcony had a great view and hot tub was nice. We did have issues with wifi and it took a while to get fixed, but there was plenty of service so we didn't get trapped with no cell service. Great time overall.
It was far enough and private enough away for our anniversary trip! We really enjoyed the cabin, it was beautiful (aside from the TV remote not working, and the Jacuzzi tub inside when turned on sprayed dirt and bugs so we didn't use these things but they weren't missed) we loved the hot tub, privacy of the deck, the full kitchen and little fire pit outside with logs included.
Me and gf stayed here for our one year and it was absolute blast! Wish there some more kitchen utensils but everything sufficed! Great stay and the hot tub was spectacular
Our family enjoyed our stay. The location was private, quiet and convenient to all our destinations for hikes, adventure and great food. There were little things that drove us crazy about the cabin (no hangers, no measuring cups or measuring spoons, and learning how to get all hot tub jets working with trial and error). Overall it was comfortable and met all our needs for our stay!
Two of us stayed in the cabin for a long spring break weekend and this cabin was perfect for us. The cabin was easily accessible with our truck and a good location to other RRG sights. We loved the hot tub, views from the cabin, and games/puzzles provided. It was clean and while I was worried about potential sulphuric water smell we barely noticed it. The kitchen had most pots/silverware/cooking utensils that you’d need, but not many cups or plates so if there’s more than 2 of you staying there you may need to bring your own disposables. We would definitely stay here again!
My family and I stayed at the Mtn Chalet for our first trip to the RRG. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, and SO convenient to all of our planned adventures. We couldn’t have asked for more from this rental and will always check for its availability first when booking another trip. I have zero suggestions or complaints, but could go on and on about all of the positives we experienced during our stay.
We had a good time on our trip and the cabin was nice. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking, I do wish the bed was bigger. The descriptions said it was a queen but I’m pretty sure it was a full and that made the nights a little rough.
Cozy little cabin in the woods with a hot tub and they allow pets. What more can you ask for. Downstair bed on the small side but otherwise no major complaints. We will recommend. Thank you.
I would definitely stay again the only problem was first night made dinner and had to let my 2 girls eat first wash the fork then I could eat. So make sure you bring your own silverware. The place was clean, relaxing and perfect for a small family or couple.
Had a great long weekend hiking! Good location, central to everything. Great BBQ restaurant very close by. Cabin was clean, easy check in. We didn’t bring our dogs but it’s nice to know we could have. The only issues were the beds are full size, definitely not queen. There are no hangers in the closet and limited utensils.
We stayed for a hiking getaway. Cabin was exactly as described and pictured. An older rental but still nice. It does sit close to the road but there wasn’t a lot of traffic. Hot tub was great!! Could have used a bit more utensils (forks, spoons, etc) but we made do. Not a lot of extras, so make sure you bring all the spices and oil you need to cook. Barbecue place just down the road was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend staying here.

Mountain Chalet is Just “OK”
Enjoyed the hot tub! Quiet area. Location is good, road to the cabin is rough and narrow. Deck was in need of cleaning, grill is broken and there were cobwebs from the ceiling fan to the ceiling. Vents were dust covered and one is broken. Dishwasher is not anchored and tips forward if both trays are pulled out for loading.

Nice, but could have been cleaner.
Overall the cabin is nice. Deep in the woods and very private. However, it could have been cleaner. Upon check-in, the shower had hair all over the walls. We also saw two live roaches, one of which I stepped on in the shower. The worst part was the smell of the water. It made showers almost unbearable and stayed on you all day.
We love staying in this area of RRG. The cabin has almost everything you need. We loved the deck and easy check in process. The wall of windows is great!
Bare bones but adequate, we stayed in winter and it is quite drafty. Most things on the cabin are slanted downhill (ex: floor, microwave) and the intense winds during our stay made us nervous because of the sounds the house made and the trees in close proximity (including two growing through the porch). The faux fireplace heater does not work.
