Middelhagen is located in the southeastern part of the island of Rügen, in the Mönchgut region, and boasts a diverse landscape. It is characterized by rolling hills, rugged cliffs, wide white sandy beaches, and hiking trails. During the summer months, guided hikes are offered that lead through the “Zicker Alps,” wooded dune belts, and across the meadows of the countryside. The Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve is home to many rare plants, such as a protected species of orchid.
The past still plays a major role in the picturesque town of Middelhagen. Right next to St. Catherine’s Church, built around 1455, stands the School Museum. Here, you can't only gain insight into how students were taught and lived in the one-room schoolhouse of that era but also take part in a historical school lesson. And if you do well and participate diligently in class, you’ll even receive a report card.

As guests at this vacation rental, you and your traveling companions have free admission (up to 3 hours daily) to the AHOI! water park with its large sauna area in the neighboring town of Sellin throughout your entire stay. There is NO swimming pool and NO sauna in the vacation rental itself.
