No need for a car, as everything you need is within easy walking distance. The home is large enough for family groups but cozy enough for 2 couples to share. With elegantly designed indoor and outdoor space, you will have all you need to enjoy Merida. The guests will be able to enjoy the entire house in privacy. Casa Panda features furniture by Yucatan Custom Furniture, lighting by Takto and art from a variety of talented Merida artists. The entryway and living room is very spacious with comfortable seating for the entire house. The colorful art in the entryway and living room is done by local artists. With three spacious bedrooms, it is large enough for family travel. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and garden-like ensuite bathroom. It looks out to the pool and patio area. It also includes a built-in desk for those guests who must work while in vacation. In addition to the master bedroom, there are two large guest bedrooms and another bathroom. All bedrooms have mini split air-conditioners to keep things cool. There are two outdoor areas: The first is a patio/garden with a fountain in and small seating area between the entryway and the kitchen. This area is perfect for romantic dinners, as it is lit by twinkling lights hung in between the hanging plants. There is also a patio at the back of the property with a medium sized pool, perfect for cooling off and relaxing. The house is equipped with all the modern conveniences, including laundry facilities. High speed WiFi internet access is available throughout the house. There are televisions in the living room, master bedroom, and kids bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need if you want to cook. Purified water is provided, as well as coffee. The refrigerator has ice made from purified water as well. We provide you with basic kitchen equipment and appliances including a toaster and coffee machine so that you can fuel up with a satisfying breakfast to start your day. Coffee, creamer and sugar is provided -- no need to run to the nearest mini-mart for these basics. Guests will have access to the Burro y Flauta concierge manager as needed during their stay. Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything! Extras \- Cooking essentials so that you can cook your own meals when you feel like staying in \- Washer and dryer with laundry detergent \- Purified water and ice \- Every bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers \- High thread count and premium cotton bedding selected to ensure a good night’s rest \- Hi-speed wifi is available throughout the house and patio \- Bluetooth speaker so you can listen to your own music \- 4 free beers - so you start start your vacation immediately upon arriving! Check-in & Check-out: Check in is available after 3pm. Check out is before 11am. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability at the sole discretion of the host. Early check-in availability is determined on the day of arrival and is a free courtesy to our guests. If you need a late check-out, then we might be able to permit it depending on the needs of our next guest, but we will charge a late check-out fee. General Rules: 1\. To book this space, you must be at least 21 years of age. 2\. The name on the reservation must match the person staying in the house. To verify, we may require a photo of ID of all people entering the property. 3\. Quiet hours are observed from 10pm to 8am on the interior and exterior of the property. The purpose of quiet hours is to maintain a quiet and comfortable environment for all guests and neighbors. 4\. No smoking inside the space. If a guest is found smoking or evidence of smoking is found after check-out there is a $500 USD fine. You may smoke on the exterior patios granted you use the provided ash trays. 5\. Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet. 6\. An excessive cleaning fee of a minimum of $75 USD will apply to any reservation which caused excessive cleaning services to be rendered. 7\. Guests are responsible for any breakage or damage to the property. Fees: \- The fee for overnight visitors above a total of 6 guests is $300 pesos per person per night. Any additional guests require prior approval from the host. \- One small (under 15kg) pet is welcome, but the guest is responsible for all damage caused by their pets. An extra pet fee of USD$75 will be charged. \- Electricity is included for stays of 2 weeks or less; and for stays of longer than 2 weeks, no electricity is charged unless the usage greater is USD$3 a day for the 1BR or 2BR homes, or USD$5 a day for the larger homes. \- Lost key or electric key fob will result in a US$20 charge. \- We are not responsible for any left items after check-out. If we do have to ship an item, there is a minimum of $50 (depending on the size of the items) shipping fee by host plus the shipping company cost to ship the item. It may take up to 14 days before we can ship the items. Additional notes: In order to keep the pool clean and maintained during your stay and for future guests, our pool staff is scheduled to service the pool twice per week. The total service should take 30 minutes to 1 hour. Merida is a hot and humid climate, and this climate tends to host insects. As a result, you may see insects in the house. We do monthly extermination to try to prevent problems but it's not a perfect solution. We also supply bug spray and citronella candles to assist. We are not responsible for any items brought into or left at the house. If you believe that you left something in the house after your departure, then please let us know. We will verify whether we have the item and share our office address so that you may pick it up. We will store any such items in our ‘Lost and Found’ located in our office for 30 days. If no one has come to claim those items within the 30 days, then we will dispose of it. Furniture and décor from pictures may differ. We are always upgrading and improving the look and feel of our property for the comfort and pleasure of our guests. We love Casa Panda and we are sure you will too! We absolutely fell in love with this home. It was true to the listing and photos. We had all the comforts from home that we are used to. We didn't want to leave and we are already planning our next stay here. The city is so safe and quiet. There is a living room and three bedrooms with air conditioning. A must when visiting in the summer! The kitchen is open to two courtyards and so cute. We loved the shower in the primary suite. We greatly appreciated the washer and dryer and the laundry soap on hand so we didn't have to immediately find a store. The property managers were beyond helpful. I can't say enough about the responsiveness and the services they provide. Everything is laid out neatly in a binder and accessed through a QR code. Highly recommend. ##### Heidi T. We were a family of seven ages 11-75- this property was perfect for our size. Everyone had space and the location was fantastic. Down the street from a great coffee spot and walking distance to all the best places in Merida Centro. We brought ear plugs and eye masks as most streets in Merida can be loud even at night and we recommend you do the same. The host Beto was there to greet us upon arrival and when we had one small problem (one air conditioner wasn’t working) he had it fixed within an hour or two of my notifying him. The kitchen was well equipped, there was fresh water for us, great water pressure, hot water, and a fun dip pool for the kids. Thank you- it was a great stay! ##### Shanna A. It has a great location, wonderful style, great concierge, and a nice pool for cooling off. Casa Panda fit our family of 4 very well. We wanted to go to a cenote on our last day and Beto was more than happy to assist in getting one together for us. All in all a memorable trip for us in this area of Mexico. There are way too many great things to say about the house, but here are some highlights: - We loved the indoor-outdoor layout - The pool was incredibly refreshing and enjoyable - The rooms were all very spacious, clean and comfortable - The wifi and AC worked really well throughout the house - The outdoor look and feel of the master bathroom was a treat! - The location of the house was great - we were able to walk everywhere - The host was very accommodating, responsive and kind - Really wish we could have stayed longer, so we'll definitely be back! ##### Anna G. Nov 30, 2017 #### A beautifully remodeled place in a great location Our family of 5 had a great stay at Casa Panda. Mike and Becca run a first rate rental business at Burro y Flauta and do an excellent job of providing everything you need. It's the little things and details that put this rental at the top. They are quick to respond to emails or texts if you have any questions and as locals they have great information on the area, where to eat, etc. Casa Panda is modern while still retaining some of the unique characteristics of this home. It has nice outdoor spaces and is relatively quite considering it's location in the busy city. It is a prime location for walking to the areas attractions, parks, museums, etc. We would stay here again and would recommend it to others. ##### Chris H. The house was very clean and kept up. The pool was a great amenity to beat the heat, especially for my children (11yo & 8yo). They provided with plenty of towels. The customer service was fantastic. Our concierge, Beto, was the best. He was attentive and extremely friendly. The rental is a short 10-15 min walk to the very busy Santa Lucia plaza where restaurants and noise are plentiful. There is a paleteria (ice cream shop) 1-2 blocks away – one of my children favorite stops. Overall, we loved our 18 days stay at Casa Panda. ##### Sonia H. I especially liked the indoor/outdoor atmosphere that makes colonial homes special. The kids and I swam every day in the pool, which was perfect for the hot afternoons. Most of all, the service was exceptional. We had a few questions throughout our stay, and each was answered within 10 minutes by text or phone. The concierge even went the extra mile to help my friend, at another place, find a driver. There were a few mosquitoes, making it so that we shut our bedroom doors at night and used AC, rather than leaving them open to the courtyard. Mar 26, 2018 #### Fantastic villa, well-run and well-designed We travel a lot. With toddlers. And this place was pretty close to perfect, in my opinion. It was sensitively remodeled and furnished, to be absolutely beautiful but also practical... and not so precious that we were constantly chatting or two toddlers to prevent them from destroying things. The pool can be fairly effectively closed off from the rest of the house except for the master bedroom. The owners were prompt in replying and veey accommodating, and the manager Beto is really above and beyond - not only keeping everything running smoothly but setting up maasages and an all day taxi rental... with a van for all 7 of us... and car seats for the toddlers. The location is good - close to excellent food, easy walk to the Zocalo. But not too frantic in a big city. For instance, one night, a neighbor had thrown their front door open and was playing a baby grand piano in the front room all evening,with the sound tinkling over into our courtyard. All in all, absolutely lovely, and warmly recommended, especially for families with toddlers who want to be able to relax but also stay in a place they would love otherwise. ##### Joseph B. La maison contient tout ce dont nous avions besoin et même plus. Idéal pour les enfants également. Très bien entretenu et beaucoup de fournitures (serviettes de bain, serviettes de piscines, café, savon, etc.). Parfaitement situé. À distance de marche de plusieurs attractions. Sinon, taxi/didi/uber très facile à accéder directement à la maison ou à proximité. Un immense merci à toute l'équipe de Burro y Flauta et à Beto (concierge) qui rendent l'expérience tout aussi agréable.
