I know this area because I lived in the local area as a child. The staff were very welcoming and efficient when I arrived. My room was a bit dated, however clean and everything worked as it should..There was some noise from something for a while at night. It sounded like a generator of some sort. Fortunately it stopped. There is free parking outside the hotel and I had no concerns about leaving my car there for the day. It iscalso walking distance to Westbrook and Westgate beaches. I didn't get into the bed as the springs in the matterss where very prominent, luckily it was warn so slept on top of the duvet helped abit. We were told on arrival that there was no food available. (Kitchen was closed for two weeks) The reading lights in the room & above the mirror didn't work. Only 4 saches of coffee, no soap in the bathroom. The pump action handwash was empty, the place were the hairdryer was, had no hairdryer. The bedstead was loose and banged on the wall. However, the room was clean enough, I think if we had paid £60 a night that would have been fair. She also had a family with young children in the room next door and they were terribly noisy the whole evening due to the noise downstairs. Would not recommend if you have been working all day are tired and want to sleep. There was a kettle, cups, wardrobe and tv in the room. With a small table and 1 stool. There wasnt a chair to sit in. The room (room 4) decor is dated, the single bed mattress has springs you can feel when sleeping. the double mattress was fine. This room faces the road and althougth the double glazed windows were closed we heasrd the traffic late at night and in the mornnig. Anmeldung im Pub. Die Zimmer sind über dem Pub, aber ab 22 Uhr war alles ruhig. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit zwei Betten. Die Dusche war hervorragend, und die Handtücher waren auch klasse. Alles pieksauber. Der Pub macht mittwochs bis samstags Abendessen. Dienstag ist Bingoabend. Das (kostenlose) Internet war ultraschnell. Margate hat viel mehr zu bieten als ich erwartet hätte. The new owners are really friendly and accommodating to any requests.
