Built in 1851 with the same rock as the temple, yet fully updated for comfort. Come stay in one of the State's oldest homes! 1 block from the Temple property (2 blocks from the temple). 1 block from the high school, swimming pool & fairgrounds. Great location! Located near Manti Canyon-a great access to Skyline Drive. Manti is ATV friendly so you can leave directly from the cottage on your ATV. This is a perfect home for honeymoons or anniversaries. Also for larger groups don't forget to check out the Cottage's sister Property: The Manti Manor-an 1871 rock house located just kiddy corner from the cottage. The house was so close to the temple, the kids loved the goats out back. The house was clean, just the upholstery furniture in the family room could use a good deep cleaning. We appreciated the pioneer feel, well stocked cabinets, and warmth as we stayed on some extremely cold days. But to tell you this is a real pioneer experience is an understatement. The floors flex beneath your weight and slope, and are quite dangerous if you may roll an ankle; you can literally see through to the ground level in areas. The beds may also come from the 1800s, you will feel every spring and hear every movement across the house. Just getting luggage up the steep and narrow staircase is an adventure. The hot water is minimal. When it says it sleeps 12 know that is in 3 bedrooms. Promises made by the property owner were not kept. While the owners are very kind and friendly had I understood what this home really was I may have paid to tour it but certainly not to sleep there. Oct 28, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy The Manti Cottage is a quaint historical home with lots of charm and personality. We loved our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for fixing meals and the dining/living room area was comfortable to eat and relax in. The stairs are very steep and the last step coming down has a bit of a slope so be careful!
