The Space: Ubicado en O'Barqueiro, un pequeño pueblo marinero, escondido y protegido por el curso de la Ria do Sor, es uno de los puertos más emblemáticos de la costa norte gallega, con pequeñas tiendas, cafeterias y espectaculares restaurantes de una gastronomía de típico sabor gallego, esta casita en el mismo centro urbano del poblado, esconde con intima mirada, la posibilidad de ser parte de su espíritu marinero. Una clásica casita de su época, en tres plantas, con íntimo jardín cerrado, con su barbacoa, su mesa de exterior a la sombra y sol de arboles frutales. La casa cuenta con tres habitaciones (dos dobles y una tercera con dos camas individuales), dos baños, cocina y dos espacios de ocio; un salón diáfano abuhardillado y un office de trabajo. En el centro del pequeño núcleo urbano, de estrechas y desordenadas calles, te dejas caer a pie para llegar en 2 minutos a la base del puerto pesquero, el mar, una pequeña playa de puerto o quizá un paseo mas largo para acceder a sus famosas playas, como como Aeralonga o Esteiro. Pero también a sus mujeres, que descargan en la Lonja del puerto, el fruto tras jornadas marineras; la almeja o navajas de los arenales de la ría, aprovechando que la marea permite en esa caprichosa pero ordenada alternancia de subidas y estrepitosas bajadas de mar. Getting Around: Ahí fuera, tierras y costas en otras épocas celtas, descansa en épocas tranquilas un espectacular entorno marino, agua limpia y transparente, con sus gentes y costumbres, sus pescadores y marisqueras, transeúntes que admiran conservadas costumbres, o adquieren sus frutos que ofrece la lonja tras una nocturna jornada. Restaurantes de cocina cuidada como Sobreposta, el auténtico Bar Talino; taberna central en la serie con Emma Suarez “NEBOA”, con su cafe de Pota, o La Marina; restaurante y pensión familiar, o mas arriba con unas increíbles vistas, La Goleta, el Puerto do Barqueiro es un micro-mundo en sí mismo Paseando, cruzamos el rio Sor a través de un puente de hierro peatonal, también llamado “A Vella Ponte” declarado Bien de Interés Cultural, ideado en 1.880 y construido en 1.901\. Fue aquí cuando los habitantes de uno y otro lado de la orilla, dejaron las barcas como único medio de conectar ambos municipios. Al otro lado, justo debajo del puente, comienza una de las playas más hermosas y largas de arena blanca, de aguas de cristal, tranquilas y protegidas; “Arealonga”. Kilómetros de playa que une en su extremo, al primer pueblo pesquero de la costa Lucense, “O Vicedo”. El Puerto do Baqueiro, hoy serviría aun como perfecto escenario de aquellos rodajes entrañables de viejas películas de Vittorio De Sica, con Marcello Mastroianni y la espectacular Sofia Loren, pero ahora, uno puede reescribir su propia historia, o simplemente observar desde su balconada, sentado en calma frente al mar, mientras nos sumergimos poco a poco entre hojas de esos libros que siempre esperamos nos acompañen en vacaciones.
