« The house is a charming log cabin located deep in the woods of a sparsely populated part of Mt Desert Island. It has a nice but small private pond behind the house. The house is overall nice, but definitely has some quirks and inaccurate listing details. Contrary to the listing, it does NOT have a hot tub. The upstairs bathroom has the most unusual “bath tub” I have ever seen - it is about 30”x30” and nearly 3’ deep. It is so tall they had to build a step next to it to get in. I would NOT want...

« We were in Wells for a family gathering. The house is very luminous and well located (20sec to the sandy beach, with a public path just in front of the house). The house is equipped with everything we needed for a memorable stay; the kitchen has recent appliances. It was spotless on the 3 floors, including the kitchen & bathrooms. « We ended up finding this location at the very last minute. IT WAS PERFECT! There was a snafu with our VRBO reservation and we were unable to get in. Once we hopped onto Hotels.com and did a search for something a family of 5 could stay in near Bar Harbor during the busiest time for the area, this house in Acadia popped up. « The house was perfect for our needs. Really we’re just there to recover after hiking and exploring the area each day but it had everything we needed and the beds were sooo comfy!! »

« The cottage was very clean and organized. You can tell that it was recently renovated and it felt modern but maintained the Maine cottage feeling. « The property was clean and inviting and had all the amenities we needed. It was also not too far from Acadia National Park, only 9 minutes from Bass Harbor Lighthouse. There were 10 of us plus our baby. Would definitely go back. »

« We enjoyed the location. We were able to walk along Short Sand Beach to the town. We walked to the nubble Lighthouse, although it is on a busy road so others might choose to drive. We also walked to Long Sand Beach. The kitchen was well stocked. Because we were 6 units the house worked really well for our group. »

« Very nice country home with a beautiful yard and fire pit! It was a nice easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Everything was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The host was delightful and quick with responses to my questions. The host was also very helpful with the favorites list they provided.
