"Excellent stay! Mary is so kind and welcoming. I asked about a muffin pan so my daughter and I could prepare quick on-the-go breakfast and Mary went out and bought one before we arrived. We had the pleasure of chatting with her our first morning and immediately knew we had chosen the right spot. Anything you need, she'll take care of you. The decor is beach perfect, beds were comfy, the shower pressure was great, and we had everything we needed. Just two blocks from the beach and an awesome little coffee shop and cafe around the corner! We did not take advantage of the two hot tubs but the courtyard area was very inviting and private. Quiet, close-knit little town was perfect for our stay. Will definitely return if in the area again and highly recommend! "

"A small historic building in a quiet, peaceful beach town. Mary, the owner, is quite friendly, helpful and laid-back, a joy to chat with about the area's history and natural world. A one-block walk to Pacific Beach State Park's short trail to a wonderful beach. Perfect place to relax."

"We have stayed here for the last 4 years. It was perfect with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Perfect distance from the beach! The kitchen has almost everything we needed (brought our own rice cooker). The front porch is so relaxing with a slight view of the waves. The hosts were amazing to work with! We have sadly outgrown this amazing beach house and will miss it greatly!"

"Absolutely cozy house on the beach that feels like home away from home. My family has now booked the Love Shack four times, and every time it's been more fun than the last. I especially loved the updates made in the last few years to the beautiful bathroom and the addition of the hot tub.This year we had an exceptionally fun time making the short drive (3 minutes) to Seabrook, where we were able to shop at their fine grocery store, visit the booths at their Saturday market, and explore the gorgeous Gnome trail."
