The whole property is something that can only be experienced in person, from their beautiful villas, bountiful gardens and surrounding rice fields, to their pet animals roaming freel, refreshing salt water pool, and a feeling of true relaxation in the every breath of fresh air. I could go on and on, but as I mentioned it's only something you can experience first hand to really understand how special this place is. So special we ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much (and would have stayed longer had it not been the end of our trip...). We had a lovely time at Country Retreat. The location is so calm and picturesque settled within the beautiful rice fields. The hotel's facilities are wonderfully placed inside the local surrounding and are all nice and very well maintained. The salt water pool is perfect for a sunset chill out. Most mentionable though are the 2 hosts, Pete and Jing who made our time just amazing! Both offer the very best service ever experienced with a true "feel at home" experience. Jing's home cooked food is the best Thai ever had and she makes it all with fresh ingredients from their garden or from the local markets! Next time, we will definitely take a cooking class with Jing! Thanks sooo much for lovely 3 days. This place is fantastic! The owners (Peter and Ing) are incredibly welcoming and will help with anything during your stay. The retreat is only a few bungalows which really adds to the relaxing factor. We also met lots of lovely people during our stay. If we ever find ourselves in the Chiang Mai area again we will most certainly be back!
