About this property

1 Bed in Macclesfield (oc-58462)

  • Situated in Wincle in the South West Peak District ideally located for exploring the Peak District National Park, Leek, Buxton and Macclesfield. Set in 38 acres of the owners’ grounds, this retreat enjoys a peaceful location with an abundance of walks on its doorstep. The small hamlet of Wincle is home to a local pub serving locally sourced dishes. For those who are looking for a bit of excitement, Alton Towers, arguably the best theme park in the country, is just 15 miles away. For relaxing fun from the doorstep explore the many public paths that meander around the stunning countryside and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that surrounds you here. You can also take a tour of a traditional brewery situated just a short walk down the road or have a drive to Chatsworth House to discover 4000 years of history.

Pop your stuff in the handy wheel barrow, head through the gate and follow the lit concrete path and you will see your beautiful shepherds hut nestled on the top of the hill. Take off your boots and head up a few steps into the hut which welcomes you with open arms. The stable door lets the light and fresh air flood into the hut and helps you enjoy the surrounding views. There is a kitchen area with everything you need to rustle up a hearty breakfast. The comfy double bed benefits from storage underneath to keep your bags out of the way. There is a drop leaf table and chairs to come together and enjoy a meal. The hut is well heated at all times by an electric radiator, making the hut lovely and toasty, even on chillier days. The shower room, although snug presents everything you need. The little touches from the lights on a dimmer switch, to the beautiful fabrics that decorate the hut come together to provide a really special escape. This luxurious shepherd's hut offers full electricity and lighting, the ultimate glamping experience.

Outside there is a summer house with comfy seating, think of this as an additional room to your outdoor living, the perfect place to watch the sun set. There is a BBQ with fire pit to really enjoy those summer evenings in the country. Or take a very short walk and BBQ near the River Dame on the owners private land. There is also a green storage cabinet at the side of the hut which would fit one bike. There is the option to book additional accommodation on the same site if required.
