Mabel and Harry's, a modern country guest house

Mabel and Harry's guest house is situated in the pristine rural beauty of the Indiana countryside. This historic colonial farmhouse has been renovated into a luxury retreat. A mix of the old and the new: original architectural features and ultra HD TVs; an induction cooktop and a speckled enamelware kettle; antique nightstands and highest quality bamboo sheets and bedding. The house was designed with the intention that our guests will experience the quiet elegance of this country getaway.

This is such a WONDERFUL and beautiful place! It is exactly as it is listed and is so incredibly charming. We booked for my daughter’s 16th birthday party and it was such a hit and an incredible place to host. The cleanliness and decorations were perfection. The little details were such a sweet surprise!! The attention and communication from Janny was exceptional! If you’re thinking of booking do it!

Best decorated house ever! Perfect for our family gathering. Hostess was most gracious and accommodating when I asked for a stand mixer. Everything was perfect-except the light switches could have been marked. Lots of flipping on/off lights looking for right ones.

Exceptional stay. We were in town for a high school reunion, home was a fantastic place to stay… wonderful place for friends to chat and relax. She had the makings for s’mores right there (including the marshmallow roasting sticks:), kindling for an outside fire… two spacious “family” rooms… beds were super. And the location was great, you’re out in the country but only a few minutes from our old high school. This was a fabulous VRBO experience, from the initial communications with the owner to the time we checked out. Well, well done.

This property was everything it advertised it to be! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home and fell in love with the charm of this old farmhouse. The home was decorated nicely and the house was clean. We loved the special touches that the owner left for us like the delicious cake from the local bakery, the fresh corn from their crops and supplies to make smores! The entire experience was a treat for our family!

The home and property was more than we could’ve imagined!! Picture perfect with more space than a picture can show! Tall ceilings and the two living rooms are placed perfectly! The outdoor seating around the fire places were inviting and drew out many nights filled with stories to remember! When we return to Indiana, this home will be one to return too!! So blessed this is an option in small town Indiana! Loved everything about Mabel & Harry’s house!!! What a treat and what a blessing!!!

I cannot say enough about this listing! Every part of the stay feels relaxing and truly enjoyable! We chose to stay again because we had another baseball tournament in the area and Harry and Mabel’s is our go to location. The rooms are perfect! The amount of bathrooms keeps every one happy! The living areas are spacious and the outdoor amenities are AMAZING! Janny thinks of it all and makes you feel so comfortable for the stay. We cannot wait to go back! This house is more than 5 stars!

Baseball Tournament Weekend in Kokomo

Wow! This house is ADORABLE! Every detail is absolutely perfect in every way. We brought three families with us for a tournament and this house was 5 min away from our tournament location which was also a WIN! The decor is adorable and the kids loved the cake in the fridge to celebrate our winning games! The house is incredibly clean and organized and has everything you need to make your stay easy and relaxing. The boys loved the property to throw ball and play hide-in-seek. Janny makes her renters feel so special: Eggs, butter, orange juice, fresh bread, and the amazing cake to name a few. We booked it again in June to do the same thing over again.The families loved every minute! Thanks again, Janny! We are so thankful you restored your grandparents house and are sharing it with anyone who is interested.

My daughters sweet 16 birthday party was a success

We decided to host our daughter's sweet 16 birthday party here and it was the perfect setting and the perfect party to celebrate such an amazing young woman. She and her friends all loved it there and they had everything we had forgot to bring. I have 2 more daughters that will be turning 16 one day so this may become a tradition. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Highly recommended.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Delicious cake, food and drink upon arrival. So nice not to have to go to the grocery immediately. Perfect for our family visiting family for Christmas. Great communications. We didn’t want to leave. Best accommodations in Kokomo.. We will be back.
