Beautiful 3 bedroom home on Rifle River

This river front house is on 5 wooded acres, has a covered porch facing the river to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and the sounds of nature. It has a fire pit , gas grill, use of 2 kayaks. the are 2 cushions and extra bedding for more sleeping accommodations.
It is about 20 minutes to Ogemaw Hills snowmobile staging area, Ogemaw Pathways for cross country skiing and hiking, West Branch, outlet shops and golf courses. 30 minutes to casino in Standish. 30 minutes to Tawas and Lake Huron. Perfect place to stay and enjoy all the things this area has to offer.

Lovely location, appreciated minimum checkout instructions and low cost cleaning fee. Kitchen setup was fine for two people. The addition of a drying rack might be helpful for those of us who are old school and prefer not to run pans through the dishwasher lol, but that’s a tad nitpicky. Really lovely spot and would stay there again.

Great Hideaway in the Woods!

The location was great and the cabin was perfect! If you're looking for a log cabin in the quiet woods on the river, this is it. It was spacious and comfortable and impressively clean! The cabin had everything we needed, too. The shower water pressure was great. The only negative of our trip was the insane brood of mosquitos! But there's nothing that the host can do about that and it's to be expected given the woods and water. We went to Meijer and got yard spray and sprayed it all around and it helped big time. That and plenty of bug spray. The property is beautiful. Thanks for allowing dogs, too! We saw mama deer and two babies, bald eagles, and heard the owls making it a perfect nature getaway. Would definitely come back here again!

Great experience!

Can’t say enough how perfect this place was! It was even better in person than the photos showed. My son, my brother, and I stayed there while hunting near by. It was super clean, beautiful, comfy, had everything here we needed. And, the owner was so gracious and helpful. I would highly recommend this place!!!

Exactly what we were looking for

The property is in a beautiful location tucked into the woods backing up to the rifle river. We stayed in November, so we didn’t get the chance to use the fire pit, large back porch, grill, or kayaks, but the setup was great. The house/cabin was clean and had every amenity we needed. Comfortable beds, washer/dryer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, cable TV, WiFi, etc. Check in/out was very easy and hassle free. Grocery store, gas stations, etc., are about 15 minutes away. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, Private Cabin

A couple friends and I got together for a yearly get together and enjoyed our time at the cabin. The address will take you to a random road off of the main road but the house entrance itself is at the end of the street... Probably google maps fault. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the cabin matched the description.

Perfect fall weekend getaway

The cabin is better in person than the pictures on the listing. Very clean, comfy, quiet and easy to get to. Kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of towels, beds were comfy... we had a great stay! We spent our time hiking and found some great places to eat in west branch. Would definitely book again

Fall-Get-Away

Second time we stayed here, loved it as much as the first time. Very quiet and relaxing. Our dog had a ball exploring all that she could in the woods. Cabin had all that we needed. We even got into the river, a bit chilly, but then it was October. Thank you Chris. 😊
