I stayed here with my 5 year old, and we both had a wonderful time. The location is great - a short walk through some gorgeous gardens to the sea front, and the walk back up to the town centre / train station takes in a kids playground, another little public park, and a nicely refurbished Victorian Pavilion with a cafe and some very nice public loos. Our host and his wife were great. The rooms were far better than we expected for what we paid. We paid a lot more for less in previous places but thats the luck of the draw when you book late. Good location. Does breakfast but not dinner etc. probably not changed in 30 years. Beautiful decor from the entrance and lobby through to the bedroom and bathroom. The pictures don't do this hotel justice. Breakfast was delicious, hot and fresh. The hotel was extremely clean , beautiful decorated . There is a lift which was a bonus as my husband has a disability and finds stairs difficult . Our bedroom and bathroom were vey roomy .
