I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a different Florida feel. Cabana Beach Club #5 was a very nice place to stay and I do recommend the property. However, there were a few things that brought the property down to 4 stars for us. 1: While the property was cleaned well, the windows appeared to have quite a bit of mold growing inside where the grids are. I understand coastal properties can have mold issues, but it definitely wasn’t pleasant to look at. 2:There was also quite a bit of what appeared to be rust in the grout at the base of the bathtub and along the adjoining wall. Nothing terrible, but just another reason to lower from 5 stars to 4\. 3: While watching tv definitely isn’t something we did a lot of while at the beach, we did watch a bit at night before bed. After about 20 minutes the tv in the bedroom constantly shut off and come back on every couple of minutes. It may just be a wire that needs replaced, but was quite aggravating. It wasn’t something I felt the need to bother maintenance with over the weekend, but feel it should be mentioned for future guests. Again, I do recommend this property and most definitely Longboat Key. I highly recommend dining at the Lazy Lobster and getting the filet and lobster combo! ##### Blake B.
