We picked this Hotel because of the " dogfriendly " aspect and where pleasantly surprised. Never been in a Hotel that was genuinely so dogfriendly. Beginning from the lady checking us in, to the little gifts for the dogs . The location is excellent, close to a lot of little shops and restaurants. Free parking also available. Our room had everything what you need including a coffee machine and a microwave. It's a historical style hotel and we loved it. We definitely would come again
Totally enjoyed our trip. The hotel was quaint. The staff was so accommodating and very helpful. The room was just right. Over Littleton and all the shops, restaurants and the breweries. Look forward to coming back in the future.
It’s a great place to stay when in Littleton. Staff was wonderful and they love dogs.

The history of the place is interesting but it was not really updated to be convienant for travelers. It was clean but there was a used Q tips on the floor next to the trash. Refrigerator was leaking and made a loud noise throughout the night and I had to use the GFCI outlet at the sink to charge phone due to few outlets available. Overall its ok for one night passing through but I would not want to stay for a long period of time. Safe and clean with a friendly staff. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants downtown but in need of updating.
We arrived late but the staff had a key waiting for us with an information package. We were pleased with their warm service and friendly staff. Very welcoming. Beautiful property and very homey feel.
This is a very old inn. Floors are all very creaky and uneven. We were on the ground floor and it was really noisy. Once we finally crashed, (quiet hours) the bed was very comfortable and I don't think either one of woke up until the morning!
One of my favorite places to stay while in Littleton. Smack in the center of Main St., so very convenient for hitting the shops and restaurants. The staff has also been top notch, helpful and accommodating.

This is a classic old school inn with a ton of history. Staff was amazing and the room was comfortable and clean with a free continental breakfast. Just needs some serious love in spots (like many old bldgs).

I appreciate the fact that you have kept the historical character with the hotel with that said if you’re going to stay there certain things are outdated so just know that when staying there. I would stay there again. Staff was amazing. Location is great.
I love the historic character of the hotel. So many historic figures and celebrities stayed here. The building is beautiful. It’s so fascinating. Not at all boring like a typical hotel.
I really enjoyed the charms and convenient location as well as all the quirks. Centrally located to all the shops and restaurants. Very clean. Great staff.
Here are things to be aware of:
No elevators. Wonky old floors and stairs. If you have mobility challenges, this might not be the place for you. I had a room on the top floor (4th floor) so I had to take all the stairs up. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it could be for you. Be sure to know what floor your room is on when making a reservation if this is important to you.
The breakfast choices are really grab-and-go. The only protein choice I saw was yogurt. Otherwise, it is pastries and muffins. No fresh fruit. I ended up at the Littleton Diner down the street for breakfast, which was great.
We stayed one night in late October and were disappointed from the moment we arrived.
What went wrong:
No proper heating. It was 39°F outside. We got one old oil heater that took forever to warm the room, and the hotel had no second heater to lend us.
Not clean. The lampshade was full of dead bugs (photo attached).
Run-down room. The floor slopes heavily from one corner to the other, the doors hang crooked, and wallpaper is peeling off worn walls.
No elevator. We carried all our bags up several flights, including a badly worn spiral staircase at the entrance.
Good to know: breakfast is all sugary items. Not a complaint, just plan accordingly if you prefer savory.
The only positive: the Main Street location in Littleton is walkable and charming.
The listing says “historic.” In practice that means neglected. Look elsewhere in Littleton.
Our room was very clean and up to date. The air conditioning was needed and made the room comfortable. All staff members were pleasant and very helpful. A lot of history is here at this landmark.
