This stunningly beautiful, private and secluded waterfront home is yours to enjoy. Swimming pool, hot tub, dock, canoe, and kayaks allow you to enjoy this wonderful oasis on your own terms. The home is an open concept floor plan with the gourmet kitchen, living and dining room surrounded by floor to ceiling windows to allow in the natural beauty. The swimming pool and lounge area provide hours of fun and relaxation. (The pool is heated throughout the season between 78-82 degrees) The pool was built with entertaining in mind. Surrounded by gardens and nature and truly maximizing the views of the St. Mary's you will find this oasis a much enjoyed retreat. The hot tub is on offer and requires an additional fee for activation. The pool and spa are completely automated and are attended to weekly by a professional service team. A gas grill, large seating areas and comfortable furniture complete the package. Announcing additional accommodations for the 2023 Season. The Boat Loft is ideal for guests who would like to have grand parents or another couple join the party (two person occupancy maximum) yet have their own self-contained accommodation. The Loft affords guests more privacy and a space to unwind away from the activity. The Boat Loft is attached to the main house and has its own secure entry. Well appointed, the Loft is a studio space full of light bringing nature into focus. A comfortable King bed, seating area for four, walk in shower and complete kitchen provide all of the comforts. The Boat Loft is available only to guests booking Holly Knoll during the rental season and for an additional fee. The CLUB FEE will already be included in the quote. If you do not need the Boat Loft, just let me know and I will remove the CLUB FEE from Quote prior to booking or refund from the bill. Holly Knoll was built in 1993 and was named from the large grove of American Holly that grows along the river and stream banks. It was situated to be in harmony with the natural environment and to take advantage of the beauty of the St. Mary’s River. Holly Knoll's main house consists of four nicely appointed bedrooms over two floors, accommodating 6-7 guests comfortably. Tucked away on the first floor is the Master Suite complete with steam shower. A full bath is also located on the first floor. The remaining three guest rooms occupy the second floor and share a bath. The second floor bedrooms consist of a king, a king, and a full bed. So in total, the main house has 3 king beds and 1 full bed. With the Boat Loft Holly Knoll has 4 king beds and 1 full bed. There is a separate office located on the first floor should you choose to connect to the office. High Speed Internet delivers! One mile from historic St. Mary's City, Maryland's original capital, and 15 miles from beautiful Pt. Lookout Park, Holly Knoll is well located for you to enjoy the beauty and bounty of the Chesapeake Bay. From the moment we walked through the door, we were blown away by how immaculately clean and well-maintained the house was. You can tell the hosts take tremendous pride in their property - every surface sparkled, the linens were crisp and fresh, and the kitchen was spotless with everything we needed.The house itself is beautifully appointed with comfortable furnishings and thoughtful touches throughout. The floor plan was perfect for our family gatherings, and the large windows offered breathtaking views of the water from multiple rooms. But the real showstoppers were the outdoor amenities!The pool was absolutely divine - perfectly maintained, and the ideal temperature for both morning laps and afternoon lounging. The hot tub was an added bonus. And then there's that incredible dock... we spent countless hours there reading, fishing, crabbing and simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere.But nothing could have prepared us for those sunsets from the dock. Every single evening was like a masterpiece painted across the sky, with brilliant oranges and pinks reflecting off the calm water. We found ourselves timing our dinners just to catch the golden hour from that perfect vantage point. It became our favorite daily ritual. ##### Jeff H. The home was spotless upon arrival - great job by cleaning team! Jack deserves the full 5 star rating we gave him. He truly cares about making this rental a 5 star stay for his renters. We loved the pool, spa and waterfront setting! Having a dock and being able to go crabbing was a treat! We had two dinners of delicious crabs! We appreciate him allowing our “boys” (dogs) to join us. We had an incredible stay at this beautiful VRBO home! The property itself is nothing short of stunning, with a magnificent view of the river that we enjoyed every morning. The pool was fabulous, perfect for relaxing and having fun with our family. The house was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making it feel like a true home away from home. There were plenty of fun and interesting things to do in the area, from scenic walks along the bay to local attractions, including the fascinating history of the St. Mary's area, that kept us entertained. Fishing, crabbing, kayaking and enjoying the sunset on the dock made this a most memorable vacation. A huge shoutout to our host, who went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. My husband and I, our three adult children, their spouses, seven-year-old grandchild, and one small pup had a great time at Holly Knoll. We rented the house and the boat loft. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather together, but also spaces to go to get away from it all. The pool was a favorite spot! The dock was a great place to sit and enjoy the sunsets. As return guests, we can confidently say that Holly Knoll keeps getting better! Our previous stays were incredible, but this time was even more special. One of the most impressive updates was how skillfully Jack opened up the waterfront view without removing too many trees. This thoughtful approach not only preserved the natural beauty of the surroundings but also enhanced our experience with breathtaking views of the water. Jack’s attention to detail and dedication to maintaining the property’s charm is evident. The interior was as cozy and inviting as we remembered, and the addition of new amenities (including the larger TV and additional seating) added to the overall comfort of our stay. The salt water pool and private dock continued to be a highlight of our vacation, providing a perfect oasis for relaxation and fun. Once again, Jack’s hospitality was second to none. He was always available to ensure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The house was very spacious and comfortable with lots of little touches like games, flashlights, stuff for a fire. The kitchen was superb, and we made great meal. The outside was amazing! From the family room you could see the garden and St Mary's River with pier. As a gardener, I loved the landscaping. The pool and hut tub really made it a paradise.
