"We are an older couple who like to have separate beds, even separate rooms. This suited us perfectly. 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed, at either end of the cabin, and each with its own bathroom. We were there 2 nights, spending the day with friends who lived 10 minutes' drive away in Canberra's outer suburbs, so the location just over the border from the ACT in Sutton suited us perfectly too. We loved the nearby pub for dinner and the Sutton Bakehouse for breakfast. We appreciated the generous carton of milk for making tea and coffee, and the big screen TV. It was Canberra in July, and down to minus temperatures overnight, but the central wall-mounted heater worked well enough. The only negative was the floor could have done with a sweep, and the bathroom fittings needed a going over with Ajax. I scrubbed my shower taps because they were grimy. Also, the tap over the sink in my bathroom dripped noisily and I had to put a cloth under it to muffle the noise. You could turn the tap off very tight, but then it was almost impossible to turn back on! But the bedroom layout made it very good value for us."

"Narelle was a truly amazing host who went absolutely above and beyond to ensure our stay was truly special. The accommodation was lovely, clean and cosy. Narelle made our short stay extremely welcoming including introducing her family of farm animals and providing an insight into animal conservation. She made sure we had enough food for our dietary requirements (which is rare to find) and that if anything else was need she would be on hand to help out. The farm animals were an absolute delight and definitely a highlight. They were all extremely friendly and a treat to hang around and enjoy their company. The property is set in a beautiful area and if you wish to explore there is plenty of space natural features to hike to. Thank you again Narelle, this is a stay I would actually visit again with the family solely for your hospitality and passion for animal conservation."

"Kathleen and Ken were very supportive and generous. The house is as described and very pleseant. However the yard is much larger than the photos show as it extends 360 degrees around the house and is fully fenced and safe for our two dogs to romp around. The views are also beautiful in all directions. Its very quiet. If you need to go into town it's a 15 min drive. We look forward to a revisit."

"The cabin is new, clean and well kept. All necessities provided (plus extras). Very private and tranquil. The kids loved interacting with the alpacas and walking through the property. The fireplace kept the cabin very warm and cosy. A perfect getaway from a hectic city life."

"Right in town and incredibly comfortable and quiet. The room is big so it was great having the fireplace and later the reverse cycle, so a nice option in winter. Gunderoo is definitely small but it’s an excellent option if you want to stay out of Canberra for the night and the food options are great."
