Blue Ridge Mountain Club Construction Notice: BRMC is an up and coming community and there are many homes that are currently under construction. Construction noise may be audible from the home. Per the neighborhood's Architectural Review Guidelines, construction will be ongoing Monday through Thursday from 7am to 7pm, Friday from 7am to 5pm, and quiet interior work on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm. Construction is NOT allowed on Sundays and the 7am hour is for quiet interior work throughout the week. New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day will not have construction. Once reserved, guests will not be moved due to construction noise as it has been disclosed. Please read before booking: All guests must go to the BRMC's North Gate to check in and will receive the directions to the house in their arrival packet from the gate. Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the gate closing for the day. We took a chance booking a home with no reviews and paid for it. Before we could even bring the suitcases inside, I had to start cleaning. Our flight was delayed and the last thing I wanted to do was clean at 10pm, but we were greeted with dead bugs everywhere. Obviously no one had been in to inspect the home in a while. So out came the vacuum and I proceeded to vacuum a three story home. Then came the greasy handprints all over the cabinets. At that point I loaded the dishwasher with the silverware and dishes because I didn't trust how clean things were. Next it was time for the four of us to shower, but there was no hot water. We all had to take cold showers. I called the management company multiple times and no one answered. Since we were cold from our showers I pulled out the extra blankets. They were used and filthy. Oh, and I can't forget that not one towel bar in any of the bathrooms was properly installed. Every bar came crashing to the ground when we tried to use it. After multiple calls and texts messages the following day, I was stuck at the house waiting for a tech. The first tech said the water heater was broken. They wouldn't move us until a second tech informed us that the water heater was too small for four people to shower. They still wouldn't move us. An entire day of my vacation lost and a week of luke warm showers limited to about 7 minutes per person. This was not the carefree vacation we paid for. Stay Away ##### Carol M.
