"Pool and atmosphere was great"

"Everything about our 5 night stay here was fantastic. Our room was thoughtfully decorated, comfortable and cool, the communal area around the pool allowed us to relax and chat to other guests and the brilliant owners. The location was perfect for us: we walked to the beach in 10 minutes or so (depending on what beautiful birds we saw on our way) where there was a really nice, friendly family vibe. The food at the beach restaurants was generous and delicious, as were the cocktails (hence the walk!). There's a small shop 10 minutes walk and a big supermarket 10 minutes drive away."

"Brand new property with clean spacious rooms. Ample storage in the room and large bathroom with walk in shower and Molton brown toiletries. There was complimentary bottled water although the tap water is safe to drink, and 6 complimentary coffee pods a day. The yoga instructor was excellent and the yoga was complimentary 9am Thursday to Monday on a roof terrace on the spa. There is a roof terrace bar with amazing views of the surrounding mountains with complimentary drinks for guests each evening 5pm to 7pm which was a really nice touch. All the staff are professional and friendly. The breakfasts are excellent quality and lots of variety. The dinners in the terra vegetarian restaurant and tempo restaurants were excellent quality. We didn’t eat in fuego so can’t comment on that. The food prices are at the higher end but all great quality. We paid around $70-80 for 2 people for 2 courses each and 1 drink each. Our only criticism was the room rate included breakfast however we were charged extra ($30 for 2) for a takeout breakfast on the day we had an early pick up for a trip out with a guide which was a bit steep given the room rate. There were lots of birds in the area and the hotel could attract many to the gardens/grounds if the hummingbird feeders were regularly replenished (they were practically empty our full 5 day stay). A suggestion would be to use up any left over fruit such as papaya or banana to set up a feeding station for wild birds in the hotel gardens "

"On our way to check in to the Golden Frog (30 minutes away), I was met with an email that they did not have a room available. This reservation was made 6 weeks before we arrived in Panama and confirmed via email with confirmation number. This is very unprofessional way to do business. I would caution anyone booking a reservation to be very wary and have an alternative plan. I was offered a lunch for compensation. What a joke!"

"What an incredible view. Watching the sunrise over the Pacific horizon was the highlight of every day. The suites have everything you need, clean, spacious, and well-appointed. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. You can also enjoy lon g walks on the beach at any time of day, including at night to take in the amazing view of the stars and, if you're lucky, a couple of planets."
