Plenty of space in the room. One wall had paint missing in a line across one wall, maybe a shelf had been taken out and not touched up. Close to restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

We would not hesitate to stay again. We usually stay at larger hotel chains but we were pleasantly surprised with Home Towne Studios in Okemos! Very friendly & helpful Staff, LARGE rooms, very clean & comfortable. It was quiet (on a busy weekend), the area felt safe & the hotel hallways and rooms were fresh, clean and comfortable!

The room was clean and up to date. It was a bit strange to have a stove in the room and absolutely no utensils/tools to use it. A dog in the next room was a bit more vocal than we had anticipated. We also felt there were guest who were living in the rooms that they occupied. Staff were helpful.

Location was good and lobby was well lit. Other than that, I was not impressed with the property in terms of maintenance. My room had a missing smoke alarm, paint was missing from walls, carpet in hallways was dirty, tub/shower selector was inoperable, the landscaping very poorly maintained and generally very noisy. I would not choose this location in the future nor would I recommend it to anyone.

First: the staff were always nice and super helpful. That said, I honestly don't need a lot in hotel/motel: I just need it to be clean, no bedbugs, and have hot running water. I had to have them switch my room at check in 3 times. The first room was in disrepair, a foot worth of wall paper sheet just hanging off the wall among other things. The second room was dirty. When I pulled the bedspread back to check the bed there were piles of literal dirt in the bed. The third room was fine, and I stayed. My stay was for 1 week, and halfway through the trip all the sudden I didn't get hot running water anymore. I'd already been told there weren't any other rooms, so ice showers it was. While it does have laundry, there are 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire property. One of the washers was out of order for the entire stay. And, the dryers didn't work properly; I had to run clothes through them 3 full times to get my things dry.
