Beautifully renovated, immaculately clean, and well equipped - it was perfect for our stay. The stairs are very steep so it would not suit travellers with mobility issues. Parking was very difficult to find, despite the hosts’ instructions (there is an NCP car park on the same street but it is only a handful of bays with not very visible signage). This is a lovely clean, well equipped room in a great location, right in the middle of Lancaster near all the pubs and dinning. However it is very noisy. In the evening (Tuesday) it was fine, but at 6:30 am the other residents that live in the block start to go to work. Two of them separately tried my door handle on the way out, which is very disturbing. The paint was badly chipped and looked uncared for. The wardrobe door was hanging on for life, there was a smashed tile on the bathroom wall and there was no fan in the bathroom which explains why the bathroom ceiling was mouldy and looked like it could potentially fall in. Regards sleeping, the pillows were extremely lumpy, and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.
