We had a great time staying here. The directions to find and access the place were easy to follow. The bedroom was very comfortable (nice and toasty despite the chilly weather) and the facilities were great. And what a special treat to find fresh-baked muffins upon arrival!
We stayed to visit Amish country. The VRBO is a 10 minute drive from many of the Amish businesses we wanted to see and visit.
The location was quiet, beautiful and most restful.
This was my first time using VRBO. With that said, I couldn't have picked a better place to stay the night. To summarize, the stay was excellent- it was clean, cozy, and just minutes away from food and fun (and not to mention a donkey right in the backyard). Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be staying here again.
Susan, thanks again for your hospitality.
This apartment was beautiful and clean. We chose to stay here because of its proximity to both Lancaster and Longwood Gardens. The check-in and check-out process was easy and simple. The complimentary muffins and snacks were lovely. We wish we could have had more time there and hope to return another time!
A friend and I had the privilege of staying in the Kings Country Suite. We were very impressed with the cleanliness and the well stocked kitchen. We also appreciated the amount of bedding in the bed, there was no getting cold in the night. Thank you Susan, we would recommend your place to anyone!
The property and room were perfect for our overnight stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was approximately 20 minutes from the outskirts of the Lancaster area which made it easily accessible. We did have some issues though. First the host forgot she had us booked and the room wasn't cleaned at 5pm when I showed up for checkin. I got nothing more than the original email stating thanking for booking and they were looking forward to our stay. I called and within a few minutes got a callback and an apology. The host refunded me the cleaning fee and sent me a Venmo to go have coffee for an hour while someone cleaned the room. She was not in the area at the time to do it herself. It made us late for our dinner but not much could be done there Also after bringing our things to the room the electronic lock would not lock the door from the outside. I informed the host and the process she gave me did not work. The know on the outside spun totally free meaning something mechanically in the lock was not operable. Since we had no choice, we were already late for dinner, we left out bags in the room and made sure nothing of major value was left. Nothing happened of course. It's a remote home and no one was around. But if we were staying more than 1 night that would have been a major issue for us. The deadbolt locked from the inside manually and so did the knob lock so we were comfortable in the evening. Not a neg review just want to share our experience
Property was prefect for us. Great location to everything we wanted to visit. Super quiet.
We will add this location as one of our favorites to consider next time. Space is well done.
Incredibly, indescribably clean. I don't know who the cleaning person is but they do an amazing job. The studio apartment is beautifully styled but not fussy. My friend and I immediately felt relaxed. Kitchenette offers sink, Keurig, toaster oven, refrigerator, and plug in burner if you want to really cook. Small breakfast items are available and lots of coffee and tea. Queen bed is very firm; linens are very comfortable. Towels in bathroom are super soft and many toiletries are provided. Suite was quiet and offered great space for our crafting weekend. Owners even provided a sturdy second table when my crafts kind of took over the space and left little room for my friend's crafts! Desk, couch, chair all very comfortable and the a/c keeps it very cool. Perfection. I can't wait to go back.
Susan’s King Country Suite is beautiful and perfect for my wife’s and my stay. Susan greeted us as we reached the location, as she had just put finishing touches on everything for us. Our studio space was above the garage, but it was separated from all of the family’s living space. Don’t let the stairs fool you; it’s a bit warm there, but once you get into the suite, it’s as cool as you want with its air conditioning working well. The bathroom was welcoming: clean stand-up shower with toiletries, big mirror (I’m tall, so good height), and all sizes of towels available under the sink. I liked the bed… which is Queen-Sized (as advertised). The seats and couch were great, including the hammock-like seat in one window and the chair with a desk next to another window. Snacks, Nespresso, a separate coffee maker, sink, small fridge with a decent-size freezer, and a toaster over were all provided as nice touches. If you want a quiet space, this is good.Be advised to drive with caution around town! Cars around town seem driven by folks who can whip around curves too quickly and cross double solid-lined two-lame roads whenever I followed the speed limit. Also, the Pennsylvania Dutch Country has some beautiful vistas for seeing Amish buggies, unspoiled hills, and well-tended farms… but the roads are twisty, and blind corners are everywhere. Look twice… and thrice ;-) before you get back on and off Cambridge Road!
My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay at this suite. Very beautiful, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the muffins, coffee and sweet treats that were offered. We felt very comfortable staying here. With the instructions given to use, we were able to find the location easily. We are planning on staying here in the future!
Exactly as described, easy to find VERY clean and private. We were only passing though and stayed one night. However the bed was uncomfortable for my wife and I, the pillows were flat as well.We couldn't figure out how to keep the AC on so it got really hot in the apartment (it was to late in the evening to ask our host about the AC) the portable fan helped some. There were three windows but only one had a screen to allow us to open the window to try to get the apartment cooled off. The furniture looked modern but was also uncomfortable.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the suite! It was our first stay and we enjoyed it very much! No trouble finding the property. Very clean, beautiful location! Definitely recommend.
Beautiful location out in the country but close enough to all the local attractions. The suite was super clean and wonderfully decorated. We loved staying there for our trip to the Lancaster area! The hosts were very welcoming and it never felt like you were intruding in their space. We would definitely stay here again!
