I received a confirmation about my rental, but never received the check in information from the host. I attempted to contact them multiple times through the app and calling, but was never successful. We drove 7 hours and were unable to get into the cottage because we didn’t have the code for the lockbox. I had to have someone send me money for a hotel, and try 3 hotels before finding one with a room last minute. I have never had anything like this happen before with VRBO and it was very distressing.
