Spacious 2bedrm condo, beach+pool+town, Wi-Fi. Condo Apartment Description: 5-minute walk to the beach! Fully-furnished and equipped 2-bedroom spacious condo apartment with 3 double beds (sleeps 6) in the most desirable condominium in Lagos "Condominio do Mar" with a view of the ocean, town and Marina de Lagos from every single room and from its two private terraces: one large walk-out terrace from the living room and from a bedroom and the other terrace with a walk-out from the 2nd. bedroom (master bedroom). Guests named one terrace as the Sunrise Terrace and the other as the Sunset Terrace to reflect the lights and colors that can be enjoyed from each of the terraces. A brand-new washing machine, water heater and heating/air condition units. The apartment has a high chair and pack-and-play/travelling crib for families with infants/young children. It has a beautiful pool, as well as children’s pool, play area and mini golf. There is also a restaurant on site. It is 1.5 km from the Palmares golf course! No need to take a car because everything is next door: the sea, the Marina, the city, shops and restaurants. However a secure assigned car parking space in available. Convenient access lift/elevator from the street or from the garage to the apartment on the 3rd floor for luggage. Furnished with solid Dutch furniture, one bedroom has 1 double-bed and second bedroom has 2 double-beds, all beds designed to fit even very tall guests. The apartment has heating and air condition, microwave, coffee pot, hot tea water electric pot, high-speed WI-Fi and a modern flat screen 128-channel TV via cable/satellite dish. The apartment has a free guest assigned garage parking space although car is not needed to get around Lagos. There is a built-in BBQ on the large terrace which also has table and chairs for a romantic sunset happy hour drink. There is a modern local food market/grocery store (Pingo Doce), located within a 10-min stroll from the apartment, with a wonderful choice of fruits, vegetables, wines & groceries at reasonable price. It has a café and a dry cleaning service. This apartment is conveniently located one block (5-minute stroll) to the famous Marina de Lagos Tourist & Ocean Fishing Complex and across the footbridge into Lagos main Town Centre where you will find quaint restaurants & shops, pubs/bars and night life. In the evening, the centre's cobble-stone streets come alive with colourful street entertainers, shops & talented artists. Night clubs & pubs are open late. Location: NOTE: To locate the building prior and/or upon your arrival, go into GPS and enter: "Condominio do Mar" or RESTAURANTE A MATILDE, LAGOS, PORTUGAL. Since the restaurant is in the building you will get directions to the apartment. Rental rates are as listed here. Home Away adds a booking fee similar to all other online bookings. Indoors' Details: The apartment can sleep six adults very comfortably. Security will not allow more than 6 guests in the apartment unless guest obtains prior written approval at the time of booking and presents it at reception. If approval is granted at the time of booking, there will be a daily charge of €20 for each adult and €10 for each child exceeding the 6-guest limit. The kitchen comes fully equipped with cutlery, crockery and all that is needed for cooking and dining. The washroom has a super shower, shower towels, hair dryer, etc. Outdoors' Details: Crazy Golf, Children's Play Area, Poolside Bar and Matilde Restaurant are located at the bottom of the building. Matilde Restaurant has house specials of steak and prawns “on the stone”. For the younger crowd, burgers and pizza is served. The Train Station is at 5-minute walk, trains available to Faro, Portimao, Alvor and Lisbon. Bus Station 10 minutes’ walk. WI-Fi Zone at Pool. McDonald Restaurant nearby. Pizza Hut in the Marina, which has a delivery service. Getting There: Almost every low-cost and major airlines, like British Airways, TAP, Ryanair, Easyjet, Monarch, etc, fly from the UK (and other European countries) to Faro and Lisbon all-year round. Major car hire companies (hertz, avis, etc) are also in the airports and everywhere in Algarve and Lisbon! Depending on where you land Lisbon (or Faro) rent there and drive to Lagos. From Faro it is around 40/50 min drive! Go towards Albufeira, Portimão and once in Lagos look for the Marina or Meia-Praia and you'll get there easily! From Faro there are frequent buses to Lagos. There is also taxi service from Faro airport to Lagos. Lagos and surrounding area: Close amenities include: The Palmares golf course (1.5 Km). Praia D'Ana beach with picturesque coves and steep seaside cliffs and many other beaches the Algarve is famous for are close-by. If you want to see more of the Algarve you don't have to travel far by car or train to explore other nearby places worth visiting such as Praia De Luz, Portimao, Albufeira and Vila Moura which has a casino. Activities in the area include golf, karting, sailing, jet/water skiing, fishing, wind surfing, para-sailing, boat tours, water theme parks and coastal drives. There are many places of interest in this historic town of Lagos. There are automatic bank machines everywhere. In the Marina de Lagos visitors will find numerous international restaurants that cater to tourists from all over Europe. A variety of boat tours, yacht hire, and deep sea-fishing outings that can be booked on the spot. Meia Praia beach is famous for being one of the nicest, longest, white-sand-warm-water beaches in Europe and very popular with families and children. About 30 km away is Cape St. Vincent, the most westerly point of Europe offering spectacular views of the Atlantic. An amazing month in Lagos Carl répond rapidement et avec exactitude ce qui m'a mis tout de suite en confiance. Le condo est très bien situé à quelques minutes de la plage et de la Marina tout en étant suffisamment éloigné du bruit de la vieille ville. Nous avons eu accès à tout l'équipement nécessaire au condo et n'avons manqué de rien. Il y fait toujours frais même si la température "au sol" est élevé. Un superbe mois de mai au soleil de l'Algarve. Je recommande entièrement. Carl responds quickly and accurately which immediately put me at ease. The condo is very well located a few minutes from the beach and the Marina while being far enough from the noise of the old town. We had access to all the necessary equipment at the condo and lacked nothing. It is always cool there even if the temperature "on the ground" is high. A superb month of May in the Algarve sun. The condo we rented was excellent! It was supplied with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The weather was too cold to use the pool but it was very inviting looking. Location is amazing. It is within a few minutes walk to the beach and broadwalk. It is also close to the Marina, the bus terminal, the train terminal, and Lagos historical center. The nights were very quiet. Days just had normal daytime noises but nothing overly noisy. We were there for two months during January and February. We appreciated that there were additional blankets and towels for our use. The patio that runs the length of the living room and one bedroom is in full sun, which was very nice during these winter months. The second bedroom has a patio that has sun in the morning and shade in the afternoon, which was also very nice. The kitchen is well appointed and we were able to cook most of our meals during our stay. Should be noted that the apartment is within walking distance to a grocery store. We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to returning next year. Thank you, Carl! ##### Jacki K. Great spacious apartment for our family of 5 adults. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and bedding. Lovely balconies and fab in built BBQ Comfortable living and dining area. Short walk across the harbour to the old town, lots of restaurants, not so many bars but cute, quaint streets with a friendly vibe. The pool area was great, (pool was a tad cold for me, early September, but nice to sit by and enjoy a drink) Carl was very quick to respond to any queries and sent helpful messages re the apartment prior to arrival. A lovely bottle of wine and water were left for us on arrival which was a lovely welcome ☺️ The area felt safe and apartment homely, i would certainly recommend. The only noise is from the waves crashing on the beach at night, two fabulous balconies, we were at the end of the complex so open at side with uninterrupted views. Minutes to walk into Marina and Town, with both the train and bus stations on your doorstep. Wifi was very good and TV has many English Channels. Complex was clean and secure, lift to all floors, secure underground parking if needed. Good communication with Carl the owner. Would not hesitate to recommend this homely, comfortable, very large, home from home. The beach at side of apartment is a huge sandy stretch and very clean. We were on a 10 week winter rental - reluctantly due to Coronavirus Pandemic and flights being cancelled, had to leave a week early. Found Lagos to be a very friendly large town, plenty of supermarkets, bars, cafes & restaurants. We found a particular great bar in town 'The Star' always a friendly welcome with themed nights, loved our Quiz nights and Classic Rock nights. Bob & Carole Staffordshire UK ##### bob c. Due A dated, tired & jaded property, misleading listing due to the photos of the property being from some time ago. (Fewest images are of the property) Intermittent hot water, pilot light on boiler kept going out. Kettle, microwave & toaster only worked if a kitchen light was on (as per one of the many countless notes on the wall) Air conditioning could not be used at night in one of the rooms due to the noise levels Towels provided were old & shabby Balcony furniture was old, rusty & torn Washing machine did not work, (door removed by a repair man who never returned) Dishwasher worked once during our stay No hairdryer. The pool area was good, as was the on site restaurant. (We moved from the property due safety concerns regarding smell of gas from the boiler as well soot around pilot light vent hole). We had a great time at Carl's apartment in Lagos which is well equipped and in a fabulous location. The apartment is situated on a fairly small complex with two good swimming pools which were meticulously clean, a snack bar, mini golf and 24 hour security - the security staff were really helpful and friendly. From the minute we booked this holiday Carl was in contact with us to provide helpful hints and tips to ensure we had a great trip. He helped us book a taxi transfer from Faro airport and provided some really useful information on what to do and where to go during our stay. Lagos itself is a lovely destination for a holiday - there's so much to do including endless water sports/activities; boat trips, dolphin watching, beautiful beaches and the town has a wonderful historical centre.
