Apartment Torrinha is for you.A fantastic opportunity to stay in the heart of Lagos with everything on your doorstep whilst conveniently located in a quiet location. Located within the medieval town walls which once guarded the old city, this modern 2 storey duplex apartment enjoys 180º North to South, mountain, harbour and city views from its prestigious top floor lounge balcony This newly renovated and very chic apartment has been tastefully decorated. The owners have chosen very high-quality finishing’s and furnishings giving the apartment a feeling of luxury. You will find all the modern comforts we come to expect from accommodation these days, but cleverly mixed with vintage pieces. A solid wooden front door leads via polished concrete steps up to the 1st floor where the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are located. The bright master bedroom benefits from 3 windows, wall mounted flexible reading lights above the twin beds, an electronic safe located in the fitted double wardrobes, a desk / work space, air conditioning and hard wood floors. The ensuite shower room has natural light, a large walk-in combination rain dance hand held shower and superior quality finishing’s plus underfloor heating ensuring comfort even in the cooler months. The 2nd bedroom is a double with built in wardrobes, air conditioning, flexible reading lights and guests have use of the main bathroom which has the same high-quality facilities as the ensuite. Located on the 2nd (top floor), the lounge has double glazed patio windows which lead to the balcony terrace which is blessed with breath taking views of Lagos. There is a rattan table and 4 chairs so you can enjoy “dining out”. Facilities include MEO cable TV offering a large number of channels in various languages, a flat screen Samsung smart TV, and old-fashioned style Bluetooth radio, Wi-Fi air con. There is a dining area for 4 with a replica of the famous Eero Saarinen Tulip Table and 4 Eames DSW chairs in a 1950’s style The modern, white kitchen, comes complete with SMEG appliances in duck egg blue including a free standing fridge freezer, blender, toaster kettle. Also features washing machine, dishwasher, electric combi oven ceramic hob Nespresso machine. All bed linen and towels are supplied. For those driving by car, secure off-road parking can be found in the Frente Riberinha underground car park 450 metres away.If arriving by public transport - Bus or Train, its just a 5 minute / 450 metre walk from the bus station, and a 10 minute / 1km walk from the train station to the apartment Lagos is a vibrant, lively town with its myriad of winding streets and hidden gems. Wonderful in the summer months with numerous restaurants, bars and eclectic shops, plus street entertainment laid on for visitors and, equally delightful during the rest of the year for those wishing to escape the weather at home. Beds were comfy and bathrooms well appointed. We loved our morning coffee on the balcony, drinks in the evening and great for drying a few things. The beds were comfortable and in a nice design touch the kitchen had coordinated retro SMEG appliances in pastel blue. Older visitors should be aware that the two flights of stairs are steep and there is no handrail. The patio is large with a nice view of the town and marina.
