The convenient location, wonderful amenities, and spacious floor plan of this home make it so easy to relax that you will feel like a local by the end of your vacation. The ground level of “Ocean Kure” warmly welcomes you and the garage offers convenient access as well as additional parking. Furnished with a gas grill, bonus refrigerator, and a television, the garage is a great bonus space that maximizes the space of this sizable home. At the rear of the garage there is a ground level bedroom that comes complete with a half bathroom, small dining space, a free-standing queen bed, a traditional bunk bed, and a pyramid bunk bed. This versatile room works perfectly for teens but can easily accommodate mature travelers that enjoy a bit more space and privacy. Upstairs the main living level of this beautiful home offers a fantastic great room! The open floor plan is accented by lovely hardwood floors that flow through the kitchen, dining and living area. Outfitted with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, the kitchen is well stocked and ready for the family chef to whip up delicious meals while soaking up the ocean views. With bar seating and a traditional dining table there is space for everyone to gather whether you decide to cook or order in from one of the many famous local restaurants. A gracious pantry in the kitchen provides ample space to store groceries – just like home! There is also a queen guest bedroom on this living level that offers a private balcony that faces the ocean, walk in closet, and shares access to the hall bathroom. The top floor of “Ocean Kure” houses the primary bedroom and a guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has a King bed with a private balcony. An attached bathroom offers a walk-in shower stall as well as a shower tub combo making this space extremely family friendly. A large laundry room with a folding station adds to the convenience of this home. Across the hall you will find the spacious primary suite. The on-suite bathroom is complete with dual vanity, large soaking tub, and walk in shower stall. Guests of the primary suite will enjoy sweeping ocean views from the private balcony, a cozy king-sized bed, and families will especially appreciate the changing table and children’s bed that is provided. Enjoy viewing Kure Beach Pier from our decks and is less than 2 blocks to enjoy a stroll out to the end of the pier and enjoy a view of Kure Beach and Carolina Beach from the ocean. The garage contains beach equipment available for your use which typically includes 4 beach chairs, boogie boards, beach cart, cooler, sand toys and pool toys. Our guests continue to add to the stash and items may be removed as they wear so the list of equipment continues to grow but we cannot guarantee all of these items will be there. When you are ready to explore, "Ocean Kure" is located within 2 blocks walking distance to the Kure Beach pier, shops and restaurants. Want to explore outside of walking distance venture further or see history and nature? Fort Fisher, Fort Fisher Aquarium and ferry are only 3 miles away. The lively and entertaining Carolina Beach is a quick 5-minute drive and offers more restaurants, shopping, a carnival from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and well-known Britt's Donuts at the boardwalk during the summer season. \*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ocean Kure everything we needed was within walking distance or a short drive. There was even a fully stocked spice cabinet available! I understand why they use them but they are unbearably hot to sleep on, and as I discovered, we’re used to cover a dirty mattress. Additionally, the cushions on the porch furniture are not waterproof (here we could use some plastic!) and were soaking wet the entire trip due to all the rain. Overall a good place, though. I am used to using more pillows so I wish for the pillows in the closets there would have been initial pillow cases for them. My only other disappointment was the pool did not have loungers or any chairs unless you took your own. The handicap chair lift was perfect for 2 of our handicap guests. The decks I would say needs some attention as spinters can be an issue if you dont wear your shoes. The wood has split in several spots and some nails are higher than the boards. Don't get me wrong we had a great stay but just some things we noticed. ##### Heather B. Perfect location and extra touches like a changing table and beach cart. The only drawback is the queen bed is so uncomfortable. My husband and I never got a good night's rest. Sadly I couldn't stay again because of the bed. It's a shame because I loved everything else. Also when we arrived the code wouldn't work on the door. Didn't get much advantage of the early check in due to that. Got a whole 10 minutes. Had a issue also with someone taking the key to the pool but got that resolved. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the Kure Beach Community. The condo was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was well equipped. I chose this condo and payed the higher rental fee specifically for it's handicap lift chair, swimming pool, and game room with ping pong table. Unfortunately, I was not told the lift chair was inoperable until 6 hours before check in as we were traveling to get there with no other options available according to property management. Three of us were able to get my mother upstairs where she remained for the duration of our stay. She did enjoy the beautiful ocean/pier view from the condo. Also, construction was going on next door and it was noisy during the day (We understand that is out of management control) the pool was empty despite being told it would be open the week before and there wasn't a ping pong table as shown in the photos so the kids were disappointed. Also, I suggest replacing the king mattress because it sags in the middle and is very uncomfortable. Overall, we made the best of our vacation and enjoyed the large space of the condo to be with family. ##### Donna B. Two down sided, the bedroom behind the kitchen was the only bedroom with a queen bed. A king would have been better. The fourth bedroom off the garage was not usable for us. We had little ones (6 an 3), and they couldn’t stay their by themselves. We did however, use it for a work office. ##### Karen Y. Location was optimal, place was clean, had lots of room, view of the ocean was awesome, and was nice to have the boardwalk right there. The kitchen was fully equipped. Prompt response from rental agency and owner for new coffee maker and to fix game table. A few negatives: parking could be an issue if more than 3 vehicles. It would have been nice to have actual bathroom mats and a rug in the entry way. We (especially the kids) were disappointed the pool closed on day 3, due to failed inspection. I did not request to be compensated, but do feel the agency/owner should have offered something. We paid a premium price that included a pool; which the kids only used once.
