If you are reading this, you have a chance to avoid my fate. We needed a quick booking on the mainland after a late flight and questionable ferry transfer to an island resort. I saw the pictures, room configurations, and the rating at the time, and went for it. My wife and daughter’s bathroom toilet had NOT BEEN CLEANED. The walls have mosquito blood and random scribbles on them and are generally badly in need of an update. The rooms are NOT soundproofed as stated in the profile - we heard every car and motorcycle, as well as a few planes landing at the airport. I finally got to sleep at 3:30; my wife wasn’t as lucky and didn’t sleep at all. The sheets and towels seem to be washed without detergent, faint BO smell. The man who checked us in did move my wife and daughter to a room with clean toilet and without visible spots on the sheets, and changed the AC remote batteries for this room when it wouldn’t turn on - while appreciating his effort, I think this hotel is getting bookings on an outdated rating. If you have seen the movie Big, it was those kind of vibes. I so wish I’d taken a chance on one of the other little hotels in town, or better yet sprung for a brand. For redemption we did get breakfast at the Hyatt Centric.

Toilet in our room looks like it never been flushed after use, but actually its being flushed. Yellow water like pee and someone diarrhea left in our toilet bowl. No idea where it come from. Happen a few times during our stay. Hotel management to investigate how this thing happened.

The bed is great med firm and found out brand used is Serta. Given 4 pillows and 1 extra pillow as well. Pillow is of better quality too. it's our first stay and it's relieved and pleasing to be able to stay into a hotel that allows ample rest for us after a week of hectic travel. Short walking distance to Gleneagles & the malls nearby. One to pick on is the sound proofing is bad as we could hear loud and clear walking and stamping sounds across the corridor.
