The Mainau Island and its high ropes course, the University of Konstanz, the district of Staad with the Konstanz-Meersburg ferry and its restaurants are all within short walking distance and can be easily reached on foot. A public playground with water pump including sand playground, bird's nest swing, baby swing, climbing tower with slide, soccer field and table tennis right outside the door. The beach can be reached in just 5 minutes on foot, with toilet facilities and cold showers. It is very clear and well suited for children, right at the feet of the island of Mainau. Use is free, including the Mainau view! We offer 3 bedrooms with a total of 4 beds and a gallery. Enough space for 4-6 people. A cozy kitchen with balcony and a shower bath are available, as well as a free car parking space and WiFi and TV with satellite connection. You can order your rolls conveniently online. They are delivered right to your door. Shops can be found two bus stops away, 2 km away. You can take your guest card for free on the bus. For this purpose, the city of Konstanz charges a tourist tax of € 2.20 per night and person from the age of 16. The house was completely renovated in 2016. It is a settlement house from 1940 with two residential units. The apartment is on the separate top floor of the house. Check in erst um 17 Uhr möglich. Gastgeberin hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und es war sehr ruhig dort. Mit dem Bus ist es schon ein gutes Stück nach Konstanz, aber die Haltestelle ist gleich ums Eck und die Insel Mainau fußläufig. Die ruhige Lage in einer Spielstraße direkt am Spielplatz und nur wenige hundert Meter vom kostenlosen Uni-Strand entfernt hat uns allen sehr gefallen. In Egg ist kaum was los, daher ist es Abends schön ruhig. Aber auch keine Gastronomie außer der 500m oberhalb gelegene Uni-Biergarten (ohne Essen) und 2km Wanderweg nach St. Katharina, aber ansonsten sind alle Ausflugziele bequem erreichbar und nach Konstanz auch gratis mit dem Bus. Soweit also alles sehr schön. Die Wohnung an sich ist auf den ersten Blick recht nett, der zentrale Raum ist die Küche. Die einfach gehaltene Ausstattung hat schon ein paar Macken. Der historische Holzfußboden aus ca. 2cm dicken Brettern knarzte und knackte in der Küche so laut, dass mehrmals jemand aufwachte wenn der andere nachts aufs Klo musste. Das war extrem nervig für uns, obwohl wir selbst einen Altbau gewohnt sind. Das einzige "echte" "Doppelbett" ist leider nur 140cm breit, was aufgrund der sehr kleinen Zimmer wohl so sein muss, aber wenig Schlafkomfort für uns Eltern bot, auch zumal der am Fenster liegende immer über den anderen klettern muss um aufzustehen. Die anderen 3 Betten (90/200) sind ok. Im Dachgiebel im "Wohnzimmer" gibt es noch eine 140/200 Liegemöglichkeit, diese wäre uns aber allen zu unbequem gewesen. Daher können wir die Wohnung höchstens für max. 5 Personen empfehlen - zumal es für 6 am Esstisch extrem knapp würde, es gibt auch nur 4 richtige Stühle. Die Sauberkeit war mittelmäßig, die Fenster und Küchenfliesen waren fleckig und an vielen Wänden tummeln sich Staubweben. Die 4 Stühle auf dem Balkon sind nur bedingt bequem. Insgesamt wirkte die Ausstattung auf uns etwas zusammengestückelt. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war ok, bei der Abreise bestand sie auf einer "Abnahme" vor Ort (kannten wir so bisher noch nicht) und ließ uns eine Viertelstunde warten, obwohl wir extra 9 Uhr vereinbart hatten, da wir früh losfahren wollten. Das fanden wir nicht so toll. Insgesamt war es ein schöner Urlaub in einer bezaubernden Gegend, beim nächsten mal suchen wir uns jedoch eine andere Unterkunft. ##### Martin K. Das Dachgeschoss/Wohnzimmer haben wir durch die Hitze nicht genutzt. Etwas mehr Geschirr wäre toll um nicht immer sofort abwaschen zu müssen. Ansonsten war alles da und nutzbar. Kommunikation war problemlos und rasch möglich. Der Spielplatz gegenüber mit Wasserspielbereich war für die Jungs der Hit am Abend. Insgesamt hatten wir eine schöne Woche und viel erlebt. In ein paar Schritten ist man am Bodenseeufer und kann dort schwimmen. Der Kinderspielplatz ist genau gegenüber. In 15 Minuten ist man mit dem Bus in Konstanz. Die Haltestelle liegt um die Ecke. Die Wohnung liegt sehr ruhig. Es gibt ausreichend Schlafgelegenheiten so dass jeder sein eigenes Zimmer hat. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Charmant bezieht sich nach unseren Erfahrungen wohl eher auf die Formel : „verblasster Charme", der durch eine abgewohnte IKEA-Einfachausstattung noch unterstrichen wird. Zur erreichen ist diese Wohnung über eine eiserne Außentreppe, die in einem schmalen Seitenbalkon mündet, von dem aus man dann die Küche betritt. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist hinreichend, aber man sollte einen Korkenzieher und ein Küchenmesser mit einer brauchbaren Schneide mitbringen. Für den Küchentisch gibt es aber nur 4 Stühle und, wenn man zu sechst anreist, sich darauf einstellen, in Schichten zu essen. In der Küche müssen auch noch verschiedene Ablagevorrichtungen und ein großes Kleiderhängestell Platz finden. Die Schlafzimmer sind alle winzig. In allen wird ein Großteil der Fläche durch ein Bett, einen Schrank und ein paar weitere Möbelstücke eingenommen. Insgesamt gibt es auf dieser ‚Etage‘ ein Doppelbett und drei Einzelbetten. Fragt man sich, wo denn die übrige Person schlafen soll, so findet man die Antwort in dem über eine steile Hühnerleiter zu erklimmenden "Wohnzimmer" im Giebel, in dem es nur Schrägen gibt, eine dicke Säule in der Mitte steht und ein nicht zusammen-klappbares Klappbett neben einem Fernseher und ein paar schäbigen Sitzmöbeln. Ähnlich ist es mit dem Minibad unten, in dem nicht einmal zwei Personen Platz haben. Das Waschbecken ist ebenfalls winzig, die Dusche über Eck und irgendwo findet ja auch noch eine Toilette Platz. Einer der Höhepunkte des lange vorher geplanten Aufenthalts war die Nachricht der Vermieterin eine Woche vor Anreise, dass Bettwäsche und Handtücher nicht zur Verfügung stünden, man sie also selbst mitbringen müsse. Bei einer telefonischen Nachfrage, in der wir darauf hinwiesen, dass wir dann einen weiteren Koffer mitnehmen müssten, verwies sie auf das ‚Preis-Leistungsverhältnis‘ und zeigte sich uneinsichtig. Sie war auch nicht bereit, uns die Übernahme der Wohnung um eine Stunde auf 15 Uhr vorzuverlegen, sondern forderte uns zusätzlich auf, am Abreisetag eine Stunde früher als vereinbart die Wohnung zu räumen. Die Ferienwohnung ist so wie beschrieben. Wir waren mit 3 Kindern (13,10,6) und 3 Erwachsenen dort und jeder hat seinen Platz gefunden. Die Kinder waren die meiste Zeit auf dem gegenüberliegenden großen Spielplatz zu finden. Abends und morgens konnten wir viele Tiere bewundern - sogar ein Fuchs war dabei. Die wunderschöne Insel Mainau ist fußläufig zu erreichen. So spart man sich die Parkgebühr. Ein paar Pfannen und mehr Besteck für die Küchenausstattung wären eine gute Investition - oder man geht in den leckeren Lokalen in Konstanz essen. In direkter fußläufiger Umgebung haben wir kein Lokal gefunden, da die Ferienwohnung in einem beschaulichen Wohngebiet in direkter Nähe zum Universitätscampus liegt. Am besten leiht man sich Fahrräder oder bringt welche mit. Die Radwege sind gut ausgeschildert und bieten einen tollen Blick auf den Bodensee. ##### Dagmar B. Die Wohnung liegt in einem super schönen Wohngebiet mit Spielplatz vor der Tür. Zur Insel Mainau ist es ein schöner Spaziergang. Generell bietet die Gegend tolle Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Die Insel Mainau ist einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Auch die Busverbindung in Richtung Innenstadt ist hervorragend. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön und bietet ausreichend Platz für eine Familie. Auch bei Regenwetter kann man es hier gut aushalten. Die Kommunikation mit Frau Schilke ist unkompliziert und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. ##### Tanja B. Wir haben eine sehr saubere und gemütliche Wohnung vorgefunden mit allem was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert, auf Fragen wurde auch während des Aufenthalts zeitnah geantwortet. Man hat eine sehr gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel , ist in 17 min. im Stadtzentrum direkt am Bahnhof und Innenstadt. Der Fähranleger ist in 10 min. erreichbar und zur Insel Mainau läuft man in 15 min. Ein Badestrand ist in 3 min quasi direkt vor der Tür. Also- was will man mehr?
