The first room smelled like someone had just been in there smoking - we asked for non smoking. And the beds are new but now small full size beds and thin mattresses. Something was wrong with my confirmation number so checking in took longer than expected. The sink leaked and room was musty. I was expecting to pay what my total on the app was and instead was hit with an extra 3% processing fee at check in. I am using to paying at the end of my stay and was going to pay with cash and my card was ran immediately upon check in. 3 star instead of 2 simply because I didn't complain to the staff to get it fixed. I WAS a bit put off by the surprise 3% adjustment for checking in with a credit card and not Cash. I stated this was never laid out in the website and he immediately said he’d give me a discount to not reflect the 3% surcharge. We, like others, stayed after attending U of Tn football game. I really like the location of this property. We have stayed here twice and it's not a long drive to Neyland Stadium. We love that we can get up and walk across the parking lot to Dunkin for coffee and Chik-fila for breakfast or lunch. But I probably won't stay here again because as I was double-checking to see that we had everything before leaving, I opened a drawer and there was a roach crawling in it. I can't risk those getting in my luggage and coming home with us.
