We enjoyed our stay and found the location to be incredibly convenient. Beautiful view of the lake. The historic nature of the home meant some interior doors were a little sticky, it wasn't perfectly free of dust in some corners, and bathroom a little cramped, but all to be expected with an older home such as this, it was still quite acceptable and what we expected. Nicely equipped kitchen. John was responsive to any texts or messages. It's an easy walk down a (steep block) to the water and downtown. Easy on and off the freeway to go bird watching. This would be an excellent location for others looking to enjoy the water. The house had ample room, just enough supplies for us to cook a group meal or two and a stack of puzzles, games and books to help us wind down after a long day of hiking. We found the house generally as described. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the basic needs for cooking. The house has great views of the surrounding landscape. The owner was very responsive and immediately helped us deal with issues with the AC. Although the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen were clean, the floors had dog hair on them, the back porch was too dirty to use, and the dirty windows detracted from the views. The neighborhood is also not well kept. We rented the house based on all of the excellent reviews, so apparently others had better experiences than we did. ##### Paul C.
