  • If you love coastal walks with your four-legged friend by your side, 4 At the Beach ticks all the boxes. As soon as you arrive and take in the sea air, you'll step into coastal life with ease.

    Your chic apartment has everything you'll need to enjoy life by the sea, and when you need to relax after a busy day exploring, you can curl up in front of the TV with a film or good book. When morning arrives, you can step out onto your own private terrace to start making plans for the day ahead.

    As the name suggests, At the Beach is in an enviable position on Slapton Sands, a three mile shingle beach on one of South Devon's most popular coastlines. You'll find a pub and cafes to enjoy and a charming farm shop just a short walk away where you can stock up on local produce or enjoy a bite to eat.

    Pets: 2 Pets permitted. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.

Spacious apartment, close to the beach & amenities

Property was very spacious and well equipped. A bit far from main roads but is fine if you intend to drive to places. Close to the stoney beach which was lovely to sit on in the evening , also close to amenities, pub , cafe & fish bar within easy walking distance.

Lovely Apartment close to sea

This is the second Christmas we have spent at No. 4 The Beach and the 3rd time in total at the apartments; the first time was No.3 which we also were very happy with. The apartment is very well equipped and very comfortable. The little touches like Christmas decorations make it very homely. We were left a really lovely Christmas hamper which saved us having to buy a few extra treats. The location is spectacular, right on the beach front. It's also very handy for the pub which is a 5 minute walk away. Beware the size of the fish. We would certainly recommend At The Beach and will happily return.

Nice, spacious apartment in a perfect setting

We are regular visitors to Torcross, and usually stay in the "At The Beach" complex when visiting out of season. All of the apartments are of similar, very good quality, and the customer service and communication from Luxury Coastal is excellent. We were advised that we would be able to check in early which, after a four and a half hour drive, was very welcome. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, and very comfortable.

Excellent base for exploring the beutiful coast.

Ideal location. Walk out straight onto the seafront. Lovely village. The Apartment is clean, has everything you need and is well managed. Free secure parking is a bonus.

Regular break in this apartment

Nice apartment in a Fabulous location

This was our second stay at 4 The Beach. It’s a nice, ground floor apartment in a perfect location. Unfortunately, this time, the neighbours above us were really noisy, including in the middle of the night, which was really annoying. Apart from that, it’s well equipped for a holiday let and a great base for exploring South Devon.

An apartment by the sea

On arrival the apartment was easy to find from the directions given and access was simple with the given codes. Everything was exactly as described, perfect. One thing to note, the patio is "shared" with a neighbouring apartment. Although there is a metal bar to separate the areas, the dog staying next door "did his business" outside out patio doors (two or three times during our stay). Once reported, the people staying next door did clean it up the following day. All in all, a beautiful, comfortable apartment with everything you need for your stay.

On the beach

Very nice apartment, outside area was not very private and not enclosed which meant we couldn’t relax while sat out as our patio was only separate by a railing not very good if you have a dog , the apartment floor was not very clean , and when I used the frying pan it had not been cleaned , the tv Netflix was in German and couldn’t change settings the hall lights stayed on for about 15 mins and randomly just came on ,

Good base for coastal path

The appartment is on the ground floor and to the rear of the building so does not have views of the sea though you can hear the waves lapping due to its location on the seafront. The living room looks out onto parking and a wall at the side so there are no views. Having said that we didn't soend much time in the appartment as the weather was glorious and we were out hiking most of the day. The appartment itself was very spacious, modern and clean. It was a great base from which to explore the coastal path around Prawle point and to venture into Kingsbridgge as we know the area well. The local pub on the seafront does excellent fresh seafood and staff are friendly and welcoming. We ate there both nights. We kept the blinds in the bedrooms closed as there are patios to each of the individual flats to the rear, directly behind the bedroom windows with seating so did not feel very private. We could hear everything from the flat above from the bedroom in the morning when they were out on the patio. The only other downside was the size of the double beds - small double. I'm a petite 5 ft 2 and lying in the centre my arms outstretched my hands were off the side of the bed at each side so we didn't sleep very well. This was fine for our short stay but would be a problem if we'd stayed longer. Check in details and directions easy to follow. Information folder needs some TLC and update.

Wonderful position

So close to the beach the flat was very convenient, it’s the first flat as you enter the complex so easy to unload your belongings. The kitchen equipment worked well, the bedrooms were small as was the on suite shower. Not luxurious in my opinion but comfortable, easy to walk to the local pub and the Stokeley farm shop is brilliant.

Lack of attention to detail

None of the instructions for this property were easy to follow or correct - the TV, the heating, I was given the wrong car park code. In fact the information sheets provided in flat appeared to be for another one! Also information on the Home Away App was also sparse. The kitchen is well equipped but lighting poor. The cooker hood does not work. There was a smell of drains for a couple of days. On the plus side when I contacted the on sight caretaker he came immediately to deal with the various problems. There is considerable noise from the flat above. It is OK for basic accommodation if one was out all day but in these Covid times that is harder and especially in winter so I feel more attention to the comfort of guests is needed. I would not stay again. It was very clean though!

Stay in Torcross

At the Beach is a fantastic place to stay for enjoying the stunning area around Slapton Lee. Being right by the beach and local cafes is great. Our apartment was dog friendly too so we could bring our four legged friend along too.

What a fabulous place to stay, the location was perfect and the apartment was a real home from home.

The whole process of hiring this property was so simple. I never once had to chase information. The whole process was quick, clear and simple. We would definitely use you again and would be more than happy to return to the same property. Many thanks for a great stay. ...... the only issue we had was the sensor light in the hallway didn't go off at all for two nights and we were not able to locate an over ride. Also the apartment could do with a dust pan and brush and a mop as we would have mopped before we left.
