About this property
Tiny cabin with privacy, comfort and mt views
This cute little 3 season cabin is the aesthetic intersection of Starbucks and Ikea. Clean, light wood, efficiently used space with sweeping views , but no Swedish meatballs or spice lattes!
There’s a covered deck where the hot water outdoor shower is located.
The toilet is inside as is the mini sink.
There's a private fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The space You can have total privacy (writers, nappers, readers, hermits , introspects take note!). But we also are happy to hang out a bit a swap stories the occassional beer or fire pit hang if you want!
It's a working horse farm but not too farmy in terms of noise etc.
We are super close to world class hiking, biking and climbing (Minnewaska State Park). fantastic local micro breweries and farm orchards, and awesome restaurants/ farmers' markets.
Bring your bikes or you can borrow ours if they aren't being used. Guest access Parking is right above the cabin- its a 100' walk down a gravel path. Other things to note Headlamps for the path aren't a terrible idea if you arrive at night, but if you don't have them, don't worry!

We had a really lovely stay!! Charles is a great host and the property is beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t feel like camping but doesn't want to break the bank on a rental. The bed faces the glass sliding doors - perfect for firefly watching as you fall asleep. And the outdoor shower was a lovely bonus!
Also there’s a great spot for (delicious) breakfast sandwiches and farm market goodies walking distance away!
Only feedback is that the bed frame is kinda squeaky when you roll around which would sometimes stir me or my partner from our sleep.
The “gravel path” is steep without weight sustaining rail - where any rails exist. Upon checking in I immediately informed the host that the cabin was not acceptable to me. Due to some mobility issues. At that I needed help getting luggage back to the automobile. Some hours later he said he just saw the message and asked if I still needed help. I answered I could not leave in the dark on that trail. To make a longer story short he blamed me for not informing him of any mobility issue. I expect a renter to inform the public of potential unsafe conditions. We did arrive at a compromise settlement But he has not followed through.Cleanliness? There were dead wasps on the floor when I arrived and one live one in the room.I rented another place on day twoI’ve tried to submit a claim to the travel insurance which I did purchase but have not found info on how to submit a claim
