Great location, walking distance to restaurants and water edges.

Staff (woman owner or manager) was very unfriendly in person, yet friendly and helpful on the phone when gathering information prior to making our reservations. Assured us she could provide transportation pickup from the bus drop off to her lodge. This was NOT true! When we called for a pick up, she said she was too busy and could not pick us up. We then had to scramble to find another way to get to the lodge! So unprofessional! During our 1 night stay, she just seemed very unfriendly. She also made transport to the cruise line difficult, so we ended up seeking our own transportation. Felt like she was friendly only to get customers. After that, it went all DOWNHILL. Beware!! I'm all for supporting small businesses, but I suggest looking elsewhere. On the plus side, we did find an AMAZING uber driver who was friendly and so reliable! Enjoy your stay in Seward! Aside from this stay, we really had an enjoyable time in Seward! Note: Uber drivers in Seward are hard to find! We got lucky!! And, the location of this lodge is quite a distance from the main town of Seward, so transportation is important to have.

This place had an amazing restaurant on site, parking was easy, the lobby was gorgeous and also had a coffee station with breakfast items in the lobby. The lobby had a gorgeous fireplace and gift shop. In terms of the rooms, this was nice / standard and the bed was comfy. I especially liked this place had black out Curtains and a fridge ( this was our best place lodging in Alaska during our stay) would recommend and stay again,
