  • Discover this fabulous 2-bedroom gem in Jamestown. The Cottage on Town Square is centrally located to everything you'll need on your stay in Jamestown. The cottage is located just 3 miles from the Safeharbor Jamestown Marina.

    The layout of our "cottage" is a studio master (King Bed) with a separate bunk room (top and bottom twins) and full bath. You will have you're own private parking in the back and there's plenty of room for your boat as well.

Don't book this rental - a few reasons. 1) I never received check-in instructions. When I messaged my host, I got a simple "they were to sent to you" message. Really?? They finally resent the instructions when I asked again. Why did I have to ask twice? 2) Very hard to find. It's a small space at the back of a building. It took me 15 minutes to find it after walking around and getting the host to explain it to me. The rental has an address but the front door had no number. It was in a dark, recessed kind of drive-way, A light only came on if you got close to the front door. 3) The last reason was the final straw. The bedroom smelled of mold or a funky, stale smell. There is a big water stain in the ceiling tile (conveniently left out of the bedroom photo on VRBO). This was very off-putting. I ended up driving another 30 minutes to stay in a proper hotel. This place shouldn't be on VRBO. Avoid it.

The apartment and it's location were exactly as described - two nice rooms and right in the middle of downtown Jamestown. The unit was nice, clean and bright.The owner was extremely responsive to my call about how to get in, which was mostly my fault. My only suggestion would be to change the check-in instructions to only enter through the back door, perhaps with a photo.
