We came to visit family who lives on Amelia Island. We have been several times before. The property is located in a gated community however, there were no directions to get in the gate. After circling for 20 minutes, we called the property manager who directed us to another gate. Once inside the condo, it smelled musty and old. The door had wood and paint chipping off. The condo was roomy which was a plus. Kids stayed in the room with twin beds and discovered an electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. Needless to say, they plugged their phones in another outlet. The appliances, as well as the doorknobs, handles, cabinetry and decor was outdated by at least 25 years. The TVs were old box TVs with a fuzzy picture and horrible sound. Everywhere you looked, something was rusted, broken or old. We are both teachers and money matters. We were super disappointed that our hard earned money was spent on sub par accommodations.
