Location!

So nice to be steps from the pool and to have our own splash pad when it’s time 100 outside. Loved our stay. Great floor plan, some fun games and pool toys. (Only thing I would change is the dishwasher).

Over all great house

We stayed at paradise village quite a bit. Love this neighborhood! This house was probably the most banged up and least stocked out of all the ones we’ve stayed at. The biggest issue was the thermostat.. We had to turn it off because whenever we turned the heat on, it would just run nonstop. We would try to turn it down then go back to check on it and it was kicked back to a higher temp than we set it at. Night time got cold but that’s better than sweating.

Great location and home

This spot was excellent for our family. It had everything we needed inside and backed up to a yard, which is great for play for the kids. We struggled with the property management company at check in the lock had a weird quirk to it that they didn’t communicate so we had to get help to get into the place. The patio furniture was broken, which was a huge bummer for our family since we wanted to sit outside and watch the kids play. We let them know that it was broken, but they didn’t do anything about it. I would recommend this rental but be aware that the mgmt company is not proactive.

The only issue was the splash pad didn't work as expected. I called maintenance 3 times and was told someone would be out to look at it and no one ever showed up and I never heard back. It was a bummer we couldn't use the splash pad as expected as that was a main reason we reserved this location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a fun place to stay. We had a blast here. Loved the hot tub and loved having a pool basically in our backyard. The splash pad had some issues and the water level didn’t get up very high, which was disappointing. Also, we had trouble with the drinking water from the fridge and next to the sink as neither would work. They did come to look at it but it didn’t fix the issue. Regardless, we had a blast here. Loved the kids bunk room. Love that there are two rooms with king beds. Would definitely recommend, just hopefully the splash pad and drinking water issues would be fixed by then.

Management company bad!!

Great property, great amenities and great location. I feel bad for the owner. Management company awful. Arrived at 4am with 4 kids to a rental house not cleaned. No clean sheets. All beds used. Finally got a hold of rental company next day and they sent cleaners bye. Did not leave us towels accept for a few that were left from last renters. Asked for towels for 2 days and finally had them dropped off the day before we left. I received no apology or anythiny. Once again, awesome property but the management company made things awful for use.

Not Utah's Best

We arrived late with tired kids to a dirty, damaged house (we found out later it was from torrential rain). We totally understand these things can happen, but no one from Utah's Best called to inform us of the situation ahead of time. It took an hour and 2 phone calls on our part to talk to someone and be moved to a different home. At every step we had to initiate communication to get any help or response. No one from Utah's Best bothered to check in on us all week. Even just a phone call would have been great! We moved back after 2 nights once all the drywall was repaired and the home was cleaned, but it all added stress and frustration to what was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation. We have rented dozens of homes over the years and have never had an issue. We are easy guests & responsible renters, and we will never rent from Utah's Best again. Their automated text and email service are great. Unfortunately their customer service is not. As for the house, it is in a great location and the splash pad was a really fun addition! The house itself feels tired, with stained linens and carpet and broken items. It was not the experience we were hoping for, but hopefully we can save someone else from a similar situation.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First - asking for $25 per hour for early check-in is a rip-off.Second - Un resolved issues with the air condition system. When the house start cooling in the evening I was trying to change the thermostat from 72 to 73 or 74. Not possible. We called and a tech person came the second day and the issue was not resolved. I am planning to ask for discount.

Better Units to Stay In

Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at Paradise Village 3 times now and this unit was the worst so far. The bones are the same as the other units, but here's the sour stuff: Splash pad doesn't work even though I followed directions and tried and tried, the hot tub water was dirty (I'm guessing it gets heavily used by all the kids staying this unit), the grill is really tiny and not good for any family over 4, there's no outdoor furniture (because it has a hot tub and splash pad taking up space, but since neither was usable, the "outdoor space" was useless). The propane tank fueled "fire pit" would stop if the thing was touched, and the doors on it wouldn't close so we kept having to re-light it. The ice maker made clicking noises from stuck ice a lot, the oven handle fell off when we opened it, the dryer door didn't work the entire stay (even though we called maintenance) - we had to hold the door closed with something heavy, there is no ping pong table even though the pictures show one, the pot/pan handles were very lose and dangerous when boiling water, even the can opener didn't work and we had to ask a neighbor to use theirs. Bar stools had no cushioning (old?)... outside the living room and bedroom furnishings, the place is cheaply supplied. Not worth the price and very disappointed that these units are not audited for these sort of items that match the price charged.

Terrible Experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in Paradvise Village for the past 4 years and always have been very happy! But we had several problems with this home and management was NO help! I would not recommend this house or Utahs Best Vacation Rentals again! We had trouble from the beginning, The first day- no internet, no pool key/ fob left. Contacted management and the following day and they dropped off a pool fob. I washed a load of laundry and went to put it in the dryer and the dryer wouldn't close. Called management again and they sent a handy man to fix it at 8:30pm and he couldnt fix it. He said someone would be there the next day and no one showed up nor called. SO we went the entire 7 days unable to do laundry. My son found a huge spider in the couch and after that my kids were scared and wouldn't sit in the living room. All of the dining room chairs had rips on the leather, very unkept. There was no instructions left for use of the lily pad.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this property four times over the last five spring seasons. We were very disappointed to see the general decline of the property since our last visit. The padding in the kitchen table chairs has gone way before its useful life and much of the coverings are peeling off. The chairs looked like something you would expect less fortunate individuals to be using. We actually moved one to the garage as it was so appalling. We found food crumbs on top of one of the bunk beds along with a large stain on the bedspread. The kitchens rugs and the rug underneath the table looked like they hadn't been washed/cleaned in a long time. The floors were free of crumbs but it was obvious they haven't been recently mopped as our grandson's socks would be filthy by the end of the day. (The adults made sure to wear slippers or flip flops whenever we were in the house.) There were only four spoons provided. One had been run through the disposal. There was a very limited number of forks. One of the two provided dish towels was so disgusting we moved it to the laundry room. There is zero attention to detail and it is obvious the owners are not reinvesting in their property. Two phone calls I made to the housekeeping number provided were not returned. It appeared as though the property management company had zero interest in attempting to resolve any of the concerns that we passed along. As much as we have enjoyed our past visits to this property, we do not plan to return. Paradise Village is an incredible property but we will avoid properties managed by Utah's Best Vacation Rentals in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and community amenities are awesome in Paradise Village. The home we stayed in was very comfortable and a great location with the grassy area and pool right in the backyard. We were disappointed with some features and furnishings, though. The splash pad is very weak and not much water flows. The propane tank was empty so we couldn't do smores. The blender was broken. And all the dining chairs in the kitchen/dining room were in terrible shape. I would suggest upgrading some things and checking the status of amenities before renting the home out each time.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our vacation was great because we were with family and didn't have to be cramped up in a hotel. We felt safe in the house and it was clean. The first triggering issue was the cotton plant decor. As an African American family we didn't understand the purpose so that was very upsetting. There was dining room furniture that was ripped up and an eye sore, and the dishwasher smelled like mildew. Other than those things the house was comfortable, our children had a blast, and we felt safe. However, We probably will never stay again because of the cotton plant. It was offensive and not even a nice decoration to accent the house :)

Great company to rent from!

We didn’t actually end up staying in this unit — the rental company called us early the same day we were supposed to check in to tell us there was a problem with the unit we rented. But they had everything covered, and got us into another property across the street that we were very happy with! It was a smooth process, and wasn’t an inconvenience to us at all! We were still able to utilize the Paradise Cove pool and slides, which were SO fun! Would definitely recommend!
