There was just the two of us which was fine as it is quite cosy. There is everything you need there and the cottage was beautifully clean and well-presented. The welcome pack is extremely generous with the basics ie bread, milk, butter and eggs being provided as well as some goodies such as cake and biscuits. There is lots to do around the area and a nice pub only a few minutes walk. Andy the owner was so helpful in all our dealings with him from providing information before we went, checking all ok when we were there and a follow-up phonecall after our stay to ensure we were pleased with everything. Garden is beautiful although no direct access from cottage is a bit of a nuisance. Very busy road so care needed if you have dogs - a neighbour manages to park opposite drive making access tricky! If you can find a better cottage at this price please let me know, Spotlessly clean & beautifully decorated. The owner had left an amazing welcome pack of local food, wine & treats. A lovely log burner in the lounge, along with central heating kept the cottage really warm & cosy. The beds were really comfortable, watch your head on the low doorways. Great pub, The Wild Man, just 100 yards away with great food & ales. This is a cottage of great character but beautifully renovated with all modern amenities.
