The Waters Edge Retreat

Fabulous hideaway with fully matured gardens for serene privacy. Peace and tranquility that will relax to the point of losing yourself. Listen to the soft tones of the ocean waves caressing the shore line. Pull up a chair and marvel at the starry night sky. Enjoy a romantic glass of wine by the blazing fire. This is what it's all about!

The house has three bedrooms that consist of a Queen size bed, a double bed and in the kids room a bunk bed and a single bed.

Some family time!

When the kids are restless it's time to walk to the beach - 100 meters and you are on the sand - Forget something or need an extra towel, no problem to return home and collect it without missing any of the action.
Head towards Australia Rock for the many rock pools.
The kids love it!
Plenty of videos and toys to entertain the kids on those wet days.
Enjoy large decks front and back. Bikes and boogie boards in the shed. Gas and wood BBQs.

Ideally suited for one large or 2 small families.

Peak period bookings over January must be Fri/Sat/Sun weekly.

A beautiful spot very close to the ocean . Well set up , helpful host . The home is very welcoming and feels cosy , and home like . It’s a nice size so that everyone feels like they have some space . Was great having some beach toys available for the kids and also some fun board games handy . We really loved this place and would come back.

Cleanliness lacked - bathrooms had not been cleaned post last visitors - including dirty toilets, sink and shower floor. Floor was very dirty with hairs and when wiped, cloth was black with dirt. Basin and bench top dirty as well - had clearly not been cleaned. I had to clean both bathrooms before we could use them. Also grass was extremely overgrown and you need to park on the grass - so walking from the car to the front door was very wet in the rain. Owner said we could check out at whatever time we wanted then on morning of arrival, said we would have to turn on the hot water which would take an hour to heat up; and turn on the fridge (which would then take a few hours to cool down to a sufficient temperature). When I expressed concern about the fridge and the food I was bringing needing refrigeration and asked if someone can please turn it on that morning, he then said he would get a cleaner to do that but we now had to check out on time so the cleaners could come. It made us feel very uncomfortable how he turned on us like that for a very valid necessity when renting a house (and could have been communicated upon us booking the house four days prior). We said we had made plans to depart at noon so could not now change them to which he obliged.

Great family stay!

A great property within walking distance to the surf beach. An older home however very clean and comfortable. The host is extremely responsive and helpful; we had an NBN issue and the host was great in assisting to rectify asap. We look forward to coming back next Summer!

Fantastic surf beach family holiday home

Wonderful and comfortable old-school beach holiday home. No wifi meant we had great family times with lots of board games and beach days. Loved the ringtail possum and baby! Will be back for sure!

Best holiday ever!

We had a wonderful stay, with quick and easy access to the surf beach as well as the local marine national park. The street was quiet and away from the busyness of the main beach areas. The house was clean and well furnished, well stocked with utensils and equipment (including cleaning materials). The two decks were great, one is nicely shaded with great BBQ facilities and the second is large, perfect for having guests. We even spotted a koala in the garden. The best bit was being able to hear the sounds of the ocean. We'd love to visit again.

Weekend Break

Despite the age of the property, the inside was very clean and fresh. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. The bed in front bedroom was very comfortable. The wet weather meant we couldn't use the large deck or make use of the yard which unfortunately was not manicured as depicted in pictures of the property. The host was helpful and responded to queries in a timely manner. I'd book again.

Was great cosy home close to the beach

We loved it, only thing that could have improved the property would have been fully fenced yard so the kids could run around and not get onto the road. Otherwise the property was fantastic.

Our stay at Inverloch

The house was very spacious and in a quiet location. Unfortunately the air conditioner (split system) was not working. The majority of us couldn't get a phone connection. Only 5 dining chairs provided for 6 guests. We had to carry in a garden chair for meals. Overall though we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

Well serviced and neat and tidy house.

The property is well kept and all you need in facilities are there. The owner was very helpful and willing to help with info on how to start the hot water. Will almost certainly stay here again :)
