As normal, I checked out the previous reviews before booking it which had a bearing on my decision to proceed. However, on arrival, I found the room to be quite grubby and overall would really benefit from a refresh. Also, be aware of the check-in time, I arrived about 16.30 only to be told that check-in was 18.00 which in fairness was on the advert but I never noticed it so my error. Great pub and a lively vide for a wednesday evening. The landlord couldn't have been more helpful, fixing me up with a meal desptite my arriving over half an hour after the kitchen had closed. Great breakfast.
