The Space:
Garden Grove by Tiny Away is located in the Fraser Coast Region, about an hour’s drive from Bundaberg through Childers. The closest city with more holiday homes is Hervey Bay, known for great whale watching and safe, family-friendly beaches.

Nearby, Dundowran Beach offers beautiful sunrises, while Torquay Beach is perfect for surfing. Urangan Pier is just 41 minutes away and is popular for fishing and enjoying the views. You can enjoy all this while staying in our cozy holiday homes.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a working farm stay, so you may hear some normal suburban noise during your stay. We do our best to keep it quiet, but some noise may still happen. We’re sorry in advance if it causes any inconvenience.

For safety reasons, we advise guests the retreat is “not suitable for children” due to several unfenced dams on the land.

Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and its surroundings, including the garden and native bushland areas.

Pre-orders and Activities (24 hours’ notice required):

- Landscape painting lessons available
- Disc golf: $15 per person for unlimited play in designated areas (marked by signs)

The Neighborhood:
Garden Grove by Tiny Away is one of Howards’s charming holiday homes, and the closest to Hervey Bay. It’s a 40-minute drive from the Fraser Island (K’gari) barge and about an hour from Bundaberg. Nearby towns like Maryborough, Burrum Heads, and Toogoom are within 20–30 minutes.

Enjoy local attractions such as fishing at Beelbi Creek and Burrum River, mountain biking at Toogoom, and dining at Goody’s On The Beach or A Taste Of Burrum café. Hervey Bay is famous for whale watching, beaches, botanical gardens, Urangan Pier, and shopping on the Esplanade.

Getting Around:
By car:

- 1 hr, 82.3 km drive from Bundaberg
- 3.5 hrs, 245 km drive to and from Brisbane
- 24 mins, 31.6 km drive to Childers (the nearest town)
- 25 mins, 29 km drive to and from Hervey Bay (the closest town to stunning beaches)

By public transport:

- From Melbourne or Sydney, you would need to fly. There is an airport, however, in Hervey Bay Jetstar that flies directly. Then, you can hire a car from the airport, or alternatively it is a 1,201km to Sydney airport.

Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- We have two dogs on the property, situated in a house yard
- Keep in mind that our dogs may bark but are not aggressive
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows and doors
- Given the rural surroundings, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Pets are allowed by 24 hrs prior notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
