While we were only there for two nights, the little A-frame house was more inviting and welcoming than the mountainside house we stayed at in Gatlinburg. The owners responded almost immediately to any questions. The entire family loved our stay there. My son and his friend loved the dock and the kayaks—they kayaked across the lake and fished. This was our third vacation here - we still LOVE IT! Extremely clean, cozy, comfortable, along with beautiful views, and lots of character. This is the perfect getaway vacation home!We enjoyed the addition of 2 new kayaks on which we had two beautiful excursions. We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn't want to go anywhere else, even out for dinner, b/c there is just so much beauty and peace right there in the house, on the screened-in porch, and down at the dock or any of the wooden platforms on the way down to it. The view never gets old. TOTALLY RELAXING!Other things to note: We enjoy the floating dock, the opportunity to sit, fish or float in the water. The grill is great. We find the bed upstairs super comfortable, the bath towels are so fluffy, and the kitchen has everything we need. It's beautifully decorated and uses the space very nicely so it doesn't seem small. We also appreciate the owner supplying bath/kitchen soap, coffee/filters, (TP & PT), blankets, and helpful suggestions in their information book.The only thing to note that it is an A-Frame, so sometimes you have to watch your head upstairs, and because of the slanted roof, the shower upstairs (although great), is not large. There are no laundry facilities, however, there is the friendliest and cleanest laundromat I have ever experienced, not far away.We have rented a number of homes, but this is the only one we've returned to 3 times! The home was spotlessly clean, with comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The neighborhood is peaceful, but also close to town for your shopping needs. The location on Lake Hamilton could not have been better. Very little boat traffic, friendly passerby’s and lots of fish to catch off of the ample sized dock. We had the perfect relaxing week as a couple!
