Homestead County Forest

What was unique about this property was that it sat in front of a beautiful running creek. It is all set up outside that you can sit and relax and enjoy the sound of the creek or maybe at night enjoy a fire.The house itself is beautiful, very cozy and inviting. But what made it all come together was its owner, Johnny. He puts so much care and detail into your stay making it so welcoming and comfortable. And breakfast? OMG!! Absolutely delicious and an awesome way to start your day.. And I have to say the coffee is the best I’ve ever had! I would highly recommend Amaya in whether you’re just staying the night or taking in a few days to see the beautiful town of Oak Hill and surrounding areas.

Check in information was provided via email the day of check in. I was able to enter the hotel and my room without a problem. The hotel staff was responsive and helpful via text messages. The inside of our room was very comfortable, the staff left a few complementary drinks and snack in the room for us which was very much appreciated. The room had a home feeling to it which made for a comfortable stay. The location was safe, quiet and had lovely mountain side views. This location was close to many popular hiking spots in the area we had a lot of fun.

This place is a True Find. It just isn't your typical Inn experience. If you are up for a truly unique and eclectic atmosphere, gorgeously reclaimed, then dust off your Safari Hat and come to be delighted. Be sure to find time to chat with the manager Shawn and his posse of goats! We look forward to coming back with friends!
