"On the main drag, 1/2 mi from US221 S toward Asheville, about a mile from US441 east to the NC piedmont. I thought the Rhodes was great. Loved the way the room was trimmed out, suited me perfectly. You gotta want something a little different to enjoy the place; some will find the hiker chic a tad underwhelming. Thought the lobby was wonderful, the bar and restaurant look nice, didn't get a chance to eat there. Somebody took an old motor lodge from the postwar boom and updated it very well. Mountain views, smack in the middle of everything Boone. "

"Very nice hotel. The bathroom was a bit dirty and the glasses in the room were not clean but everything else was good. The breakfast was ok. The staff were all very nice. The parking lot is not great. It is hard to pull in off King street and hard to find a parking spot if you return late in the evening. "

"This was an awesome cabin!! It was not far from downtown Boone. There was plenty of shops and restaurants around. Tweetsie Railroad is just 15 mins away too! Great view of creek below! Bedrooms was spacious and beds slept great! Game room upstairs was a definite plus! Screened porch was very cozy and front porch had wonderful rocking chairs! Hot tub was nice too! Definitely would reccommend this cabin for family getaway! Worth every penny! "

"I loved my stay at The 1850. It was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were some really sweet, personal touches. It's right downtown Boone so it's easy to walk to everything. Daniel and the Dog is a great little bar with delicious food too. The staff was responsive and parking was easy. I look forward to staying there again! "
