The cottage is away from main Hawker Area and feels beautifully isolated, yet close. Great space and views to the mountains across mils of bushland. Spectacular clear skies and stars overnight. Cute little puppy and sheep for company. The house is old and compact, but has everything needed. The fridge and washing machine are old but reliable (unlike modern gadgets that have limited lifespans!). Plenty of coffee, lots of utensils. Beds are comfortable enough. Good hot water for showers, but average pressure. We loved the stay and the large empty spaces around which are very relaxing. Great base to explore Wilpena Pound, Jarvis Lookout, Hawker and surrounding areas. My son also had a great opportunity for some star trail photography.Mobile phone reception is spotty and there is no wifi. We noted that Telstra was a bit better than Optus and Emily had mentioned this during the booking. She also gave us some great family options for food and activities and walks. Would strongly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to explore the Wilpena Pound area and also would like some space and solitude! ##### Benjamin J R. It would add to the property to have a different heating option for colder weather and perhaps a new microwave given it only seemed to work on instant setting.
