We had a lovely stay at The Mariners Hotel. Staff were very helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The only thing we didn't like and being pensioners was there isn't a lift (understandable because of the age of the building) however there were quite a few stairs to climb to our room . If we stayed again we would request a room with easier access. Otherwise I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel .

We really liked staying in this hotel. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed an 80s throwback of prawn cocktail followed by scampi and chips. Breakfast was made to order and was also delicious. The hotel is really clean, the hallway areas could be modernised but that didn’t detract from the nice bedroom and breakfast room.

Staff lovely, helpful & friendly. Room clean but very dated & a little scruffy in places. Parking easy, location good to walk into town. Breakfast cold choice limited, no fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast nicely done. Evening meal in bar/restaurant was good and would eat there again.

It’s an old property with limited amenities. But it’s well kept and clean. Price is on higher side based on what they offer. Food at restaurants and breakfast are very good. So don’t go out for food if you are staying here.

It is a charming hotel, 5 minutes walk from where we needed to be. Breakfast was cooked to order (not congealing & swimming in fat on a buffet) Staff were friendly & helpful. Hotel room temperature was good too, not stifling or cold. The taps in the shower were fabulous wish more hotels would do that.
