Fully furnished 2 storey house sleeping up to 7 people. Lower floor features dining room, sitting room, kitchen, one twin bedroom, one single bedroom and toilet with shower. Upper floor features 2 double bedrooms and bathroom with shower. Electric heating in most of the rooms. Dogs are welcome at Macaulay cottage. Only 2 minutes from the sea where otters and seals can be seen playing. Wildlife enthusiasts may be interested in eagle sightings in the area. The hosts were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble when we asked questions in advance of our stay. The photos of the property really do not do the justice the cottage deserves. Its spotless, spacious and extremely well equipped. The location was perfect, close enough to visit everything we wanted to. We loved Macaulay cottage - it’s in a great location for visiting the many wonderful beaches and bays on Harris. The cottage has everything you need and the owners are really helpful. It was a great place to return to after a day out. Some of the well known walks (Scholars path and coffin trail) start from the cottage or nearby.
