LOVED this staff. Everything about this cruise was wonderful. The rooms are huge for a small boat and you can't beat the views. Splurge and book the two nights, you'll be glad you did.

We stayed overnight with Orchid Trendy and it was an amazing experience, the team were always available and eager to please. The rooms are amzing, high quality food and shore experience to Cat Ba Island is worth the time. I would not hesitate booking again

This cruise will be the highlight of our trip. The view, bedrooms, staff and acticiuare excellent, 5 stars for them. Waking up to the beautiful view as we cruise along was heavenly. The staff work so hard to please you and are very kind. The food could be better and the wine a bit cheaper. I understand it is hard to please everyone but I think in their effort, the food suffers. It's was good, but not excellent. Thank you Ginski and Jack for an incredible memory.

Great way to enjoy Halong bay

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, although there are a few things that could be improved. I hope to return one day! We loved the clean room with a nice bathtub with the view. Food was great as well. It was nice to have free access to drinking water, but unfortunately the bottle lids were full of mold. The early morining kayaking in the quiet bay was very pleasant. Swimming was just jumping into the water from the cruise ship stopped offshore, so no resting on the beach. The shuttle car to and from was very bumpy.

The Highlight of our Vietnam Trip May 2024 • Couples Highly recommend this while you're in Vietnam!! We did the 2 night/3 day trip on the Orchid classic boat #3 w/ 14 rooms. 1. Service: The staff really take care of you. Especially, Hoa and Tien went above and beyond making sure we had a great experience; good excursions (biking, caves) and activities (cooking class, kayaking), special requests, comfortable room, anything we needed. 2. Delicious dining: I didn't expect such high quality meals. The dinners were multi course, and presented beautifully! My wife is a foodie and really loved it. 3. One-of-a-kind Views: The views along Cat Ba island and Ha Long Bay were incredible. Three days of insane beauty. The entire trip is a photo op, but just relaxing and soaking it in on the top deck or your balcony is therapeutic. We'll definitely take this trip again next time we're here.

Orchid classic is a very comfortable cruise boat on the bay. I think it lacks things like a decent wifi (I wasn’t able to really get it to function at any point during two night stay) , the tours weren’t very good - the day tour to the island was average, I’m no sure what the point of it was…, the food over two nights was ok. For the price I really wanted much more from this. The staff were incredible and easily the highlight. Things like tai chi and cooking class were brilliant. Food left me feeling a little flat and I wanted so much more after several nights of food tours in Hanoi. The exclusive suite was stunning but no wifi reached the room and the bed was very very firm which might be good for others. I only write this to provide positive feedback to the company that can improve.

Impeccable service!

Service was amazing! We had a suite and a regular room and both were very clean and spacious. The manager and his staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They made sure our small party of 3 had everything explained in English including all the tours. It was so much fun for my son making friends with other children on board too.

Great way to start the new year

Wonderful cruise of Lan Ha Bay! This cruise takes you around Cat Ba Island, which is stunning, and arranged a few excursions — a cave tour, kayaking, a trip to the beach, and biking around Cat Ba. The boat itself is clean and well maintained, and the staff is the definition of professionalism. The food was abundant and good, but not spectacular. L We had such a relaxing time, and the two night cruise was the perfect length of time. Great way to start the new year.

Amazing experience

Amazing night on this fab boat. Ha Ling Bay is really worth the trip. Formations are stunning and they seem to go on for miles and miles. Service was brilliant really friendly staff. Good range of things to do with cave visit (better than expected), cooking class and some said fishing (good fun but I think rare to catch anything). Food was nice and great fun in the eve on the top deck bar looking at around all the other boats which looked great lit up at night. Watch out on your bar bill as they automatically pour doubles and bill racks up but thoroughly recommend this trip as amazing experience.

Fantastic experience

We absolutely loved this cruise - although we booked to stay on Orchid Trendy, we were actually on Orchid Classic. I think the only real difference is that there were only 14 rooms on classic as opposed to 20 on Trendy so we were better off! We stayed in a family interconnecting rooms, accessible to each other via the wardrobe which the kids loved! Really excellent standard of room with a view to die for from the bed and bath. Food and service were fantastic throughout, especially from our tour leader, Mr Tien, who went above and beyond to help us when our ongoing flight was delayed, and our waitress, Sky. If anything there was too much food on occasion and we struggled to finish everything but didn’t want to offend! Drinks such as wine and smoothies are very expensive on board but cocktails, beer and other drinks not too bad. Enjoyed the excursions, especially the cycle to the little town (even in the rain!), having an unexpected foot massage by little fish, and kayaking. It would have been better if the day 2 tour had been taken on our own boat rather than having to transfer onto a day boat, but I understand they have to maximise their revenue by getting new customers on board while we were out (the guests were a mixture of people staying for 1 night or 2 nights - we were 2 nights - so while we were out on day 2 a new group checked in on the main boat). All in all we had a fantastic time and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Orchid cruises!

Soweit alles wunderbar, Essen war sehr lecker, bis auf, dass es wenig vegetarische Angebote gab, Preise für die Getränke waren in Ordnung, Aussicht war wunderbar, dem Ort geschuldet, aber sie waren leicht verzerrt durch viele anliegenden Schiffe. Die Aktivitäten waren auch zeitlich ganz gut angepasst, viele Touristen, besonders in der Sommerzeit. Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Ingesamt, gerne und immer wieder. Zu empfehlen wäre der Pool zum Nachtanbruch mit der Aussicht auf die Buchten. Für Familien geeignet, zudem auch kein überfülltes Boot, sehr überschaubar.

Lovely staff and bathroom

We stressed a lot about finding the right cruise given the many options. We researched a lot and finally settled on Azalea and we were glad we did. It’s very clean and well appointed with a beautiful bathroom. The staff did their utmost to make you comfortable. It’s the touristy group cruise kind of a thing, which normally we are not fans of, but they did it well.
